Base (non-zcp) passive suspension, options?
I ended up getting a really good deal on a low mileage base F80 M3 but it's missing out on a lot of options including EDC
As far as my research has brought me, ISTEP update/Coding zcp or CS parameters, is only something you can do if you have EDC Few questions: - Being a EURO model, without EDC, can I code DSC to ZCP/CS values? (Assuming differential tweaks are adressed by DSC, correct me if I'm wrong) - Is a MP HAS kit even worth it for passive suspension? - What coilover/suspension setup do you guys suggest for someone who wants less body-roll and a more precise ride, without negatively affecting ride quality too much? I don't ever do track days and the roads around me can be pretty rough. Being stuck with passive suspension definitely isn't great, but I'm trying to turn this negative into a positive! Any suggestions appreciated! For now, I'm considering the Billstein street coilovers as people suggest they're fairly comfortable even on bad roads

KW V3 is a more street oriented coil over, will be more comfortable than monotube Bilstein B16. However, many have complained about rear drop being too much, especially on M3.
Otherwise, there's a sticky thread that has a list of all the options for passive suspension. In my opinion, MP HAS is a waste on passive shocks when KW V3 is an option.

Look through the F87 forum also.
Further options: AC Schnitzer makes coilovers based on the KW V3; slightly different valving and maybe drop as well. I don't remember now exactly. Only a few guys in Germany running them from what I know. Litchfield Motors from the UK offer two F87 kits that are supposedly custom-made as per their requirements for our rough British roads - Nitron and Bilstein. One lad over on the F87 forum has got them Nitrons. https://www.litchfieldmotors.com/bmw...ling-upgrades/ I imagine they would also work on an F80 but this would have to be discussed with them. I'm eyeing that kit myself, but I haven't got around giving them a ring yet. There's also the KW Variant 4 though that might be too much for you with the adjustable top mounts and all. I have got GTS coding on my ECE F80 with passive dampers so yes, it's all possible.
