Mixing tires advice

Seeking for some advice or anyone have experience in this situation. Currently only have my “winter “ setup. Apex Arc8 w Michelin AS3+.
Sold my “summer” set up recently and looking for a replacement set but want to prepare just in case I don’t. So if I don’t find a summer setup I am considering just swapping out the rears. Only would do a few thousand miles on the weekend. Not a daily driver.

Current
AS3+
255.35.19/ 275.35.19

Future ?
RE71R
285.35.19

Advan
275.35.19

it's not a good idea to run different tires on the front and rear.

I wouldn’t run all season and summer at the same time. The grip level will be different and might throw you off as a driver.

Tell that to the last owner of the used M3 Im about to pick up. PS4S in the rear and AS3+ up front? I don't get it.

Probably being cheap.

For my situation, I wouldn’t want to buy a whole setup for perhaps a 1000 miles, find a 20inch summer setup and have to go with the headache of selling tires.

Seems to me like you're just having a case of not being able to commit. I say just pony up to finding a new setup so you can run a dedicated full summer set & keep your winters as just that, winters.

It's illogical to mix tires on any car let alone a vehicle of this caliber.
