As said above this is a standard color for 2020 CS and not an Individual color.

Nothing, because it is NOT individual. Melbourne Red is a standard metallic colour on the CS for 2020MY alongside San Marino Blue, hence the $550 standard metallic colour price. Only Lime Rock Grey and Frozen Dark Blue Individual colours are offered on the CS.

M8 Coupe Base MSRP: $133,000 (without any options)
M4 CS Melbourne Red Metallic: $106,340
Price Difference = $26,660
Considering a fully loaded M4 ZCP with M Performance Parts can go above $100k (CCB, MPE, Carbon fiber parts etc.), I don't think that price tag is a stretch for the CS. It's actually a steal.

I always wondered what one would look like in Carmine Red. I guess this is as close as I'll ever get to seeing one, and I must say, damn that looks good. BMW needs to bring back more shades of red for the ///M cars.

Looks awesome. I saw a fresh IR (I think... they are pretty similar) M3 at a cars and coffee recently, and I gotta say I’m digging the reds.

It's the other way around. Imola is darker/deeper. Melbourne is brighter/more orange. Ferrari is brightest.
