Note --- some of my dislikes have now been addressed (there are more on the road so the attention and challenges have probably diminished); the interior is better now and the newer versions are more quiet mechanically.
See that mechanical noise is what I miss the most, along with the exhaust note and the screaming F6 in your ear.

This is why I sold my 991S and bought my first GT3, and now RS. Nothing like it. It's still has the bones of a 911. This is really no debate because someone will say price, and drive this vs the M4 GTS ...... M cars compete with Audi ......most M cars will not see a track. I think this debate is pointless. I have owned practically all M cars it's not a Porsche nor intended to be one. Porsche is not a Ferrari as I said earlier different missions.

Porsche (and AMG) owners see BMW/M guys as little boys still looking at pornhub and Playboy while they (Porsche & AMG owners) are sleeping with real women.

That video came out right after I bought my GT3. It helped with the almost 12 month wait for it to arrive! I'll always miss that sound!

Did you sell? It's one car that puts a smile on my face every time I start it up. The only way I sell the RS is for another, but it has to be a ton better or I will keep what I have. Not really a fan of flipping cars to have the latest. It's a game you never win nor satisfied.

Yes, I did last fall after 2 years of ownership. I knew the new one was coming out, and frankly, the finger follower issues had me concerned long term. I got an offer from a dealer for full MSRP, so off she went. It is still the best car I've ever owned. I don't see 14's going near MSRP anymore, so I think the timing was good. I agree with you on chasing the next best thing. If it were an RS, I'd still have it too!

Mine was white 2015. Porsche just extended the warranty for 10 years 100k for that issue. Pricing will hold is my guess, and the .2 30k plus ADM. crazy.

Kicking self for selling! I did not know they extended the warranty 120,000 miles or 10 years! That will definitely preserve values! Fully transferable too!

Exactly. For me, it was a matter of what would I be more comfortable in as a daily driver.

I would add that the average person might consider Porsche to be a better/more douchy brand - so that could be good OR bad.

M3 no way is a downgrade. It's a different type of car (4dr 5seats).

M4 or M2, I'd personally take a Porsche of some sort any day over those (sedan based 2 dr vs purpose built sports/gt car)

This video always makes me smile. Nothing sounds like the MA175 in these cars. I sold my '14 recently, and I'm very much looking forward to my 991.2 GT3 that shows up in March or so of next year. The wait will make it all that much more special (and I'm hoping the 6MT does as well!)

Agree! However who puts five people in a M3? I never would do five in my M5 not a good experience. Actually I love the Panamera because you can only seat two so no one will ask to pile in 3

The problem with the Panamera is it's super FUGLY. I know I know. This generation is better. Not really.

How could Porsche make a car so hideous? Better question is how do people pay 100k+ for that thing?

I have kids and we carpool with others - me and 4 kids in the car all the time- plus - with the M3 I can fit my whole family in the car for long road trips.

I tried to drive 2 coworkers + their briefcases to a meeting in my 911 and that was max capacity. And it only worked because 1 person was 5'3"

That really puts f80 practically into perspective.

911 can be great solo daily driver, 2 person tourer or toy but it's not a sedan.

My opinion, both cars cut from similar cloth but f80 prioritizes practical and 911 priortizes sport

Agree whole hardly. First, I would never put a person in the rear of a 911 it's a two seater for my RS no seats. M4 I'm 6'3 and no one can sit behind me as my deal is pushed all the way back. I use a SUV for people moving not the toys. If I have to move people in the M I would have kept the M5. I just curious about moving 5 people in a sports car the size of a M3 that's all.
