Off Lease CPO Questions

My car is coming off lease in January 2019. I've planned on buying it out at then end for some time now. Will I have issues having it CPO'd off lease if I tune it now as opposed to waiting until after I buy it?

Are you asking whether BMW will CPO your car if you tune it? I am going to pretty confidently say no they won't.

I would definitely wait until after and also make sure it is some kind of invisible tune otherwise CPO will be worthless.

You are 100% correct that a tune excludes the vehicle from CPO eligibility. But will the center pick it up? Doubt the tune will be flagged unless fault codes are thrown off after the tune.

Thank you. Interesting information in the link. I will likely only be around 12k miles at the time of turn in/buyout, and my RV is ~$45k on a well optioned car; so luckily, the lease end changes won’t really impact my decision.
