Yes it's full on quality stitched leather. Major upgrade from past interiors and well worth the option price. Probably around $2k plus

Leather is not a good material for the dash top exposed to sun. My ML has MBTex vinyl with stitching that you can't tell the difference from leather if you're not touching it.

Exactly what BMW wants you to do, spend more for colors that should be available out of the gates. Who comes up with these colors anyways? Do they run focus groups?
