If he had the HK system, those are colored rings with 3M tape at the back to put them above the black stock rings. Have a picture from my old 435i somewhere, when I find it, would toss here.

I'll take a pictures and post them later today. You are actually replacing all the Black stock rings with New rings made with CF.

Oh gotcha, nice. Have been meaning to look for a way to retrofit nice machined /gunmetal gray grill covers maybe with matching LEDs. Nothing too crazy bright.

Just installed this last night. It doesn't illuminate but I don't think I mind. Also installed a matching yellow start button.

A slept on mod in my opinion is pedal haus pedals. Completely changed the pedal feel and grip.


Got rid of the red steering wheel trim after about 2 days. Thought I would love it but didn't match the shakir and was actually more of an eye sore. The carbon trim with the black center I like a lot more.

Did you buy the black trim separate? I have the cf with silver trim and the black looks so much better IMO

Hey man! No problem with the DOWNSTAR!

And no they're actually not, they are AA Concepts. Much cheaper, and came with all 4 pieces. I've seen the other ones your talking about and I could legit not tell any difference. I bought these awhile ago but I want to say I paid like 399-450. Zero fitment issues, look great and much cheaper.

It was my stock silver one, I took it out and painted it black with a spray can but the key is to buy 2k clear coat off amazon. Made it look like a body shop just painted it.

Just installed a Black Forest Industries GS2 shift knob in black alcantara/black anodize and a black alcantara boot w/ M Motorsport stitch. Also, slapped on a Rush Customs CF DCT Trim panel.
