Anyone try out the CUP 2 Connect for Competition 666 Wheels
265/30/20 and 285/30/20? If you have any Pros and Cons I would like to hear it. Thanks Zoom Zoom |

Went to Willow Springs with the "CUP 2 Connect" Tires. I did 110 Laps (250+ miles) and the tires held up great. My lap times were 1;35's to 1:50's depending on if I had to wait to pass. The tires held up great. No side wall shredding or any other issues. Still some decent tread left, maybe 50%. Glad I came home with some tire tread as I didn't want it to be a $2,000 weekend and have to buy new tires on Monday.

Fronts wore just fine. Ill post some photos of before and after of the left front. I was having issues with the Pilot Super Sports front tires chunking but these new CUP 2 Connects had no chunking and performed excellent. I was running in the 1;40's -1;50's most of the time (Hitting 125-134mph at the end of the front straight and entering turn 8 at 120mph). I was not the fastest on the track but I was happy after day 2 when I looked at the tires and saw they were in great shape. Ran tires pressure at 31psi and they heated up to 37psi during the runs. The heat was 140 on the edges and 138 in the middle of the tire so I think I had the correct psi for my runs as the heat was distributed pretty evenly across the tires.
