![]() My experiences with BMW and Mercedes have both been excellent. Looking forward to driving the F80. Quote:
I just detailed mine today. ![]() ![]() And I have plenty of toys: Navigation, Mercedes-Benz Apps, Back-Up Camera, Lane Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Bluetooth Connectivity w/ Audio Streaming, Harman/Kardon LOGIC7, SIRIUS, Integrated Garage Door Opener, Heated Seats, Sliding/Tilting Sunroof, Keyless-Go, Voice Control, Hard-Drive w/ Music Register, SD-Slot, etc. I'm very impressed with the array of technological features, considering that the W204 is going to be replaced in a year. It would be laughable if the F80/F82 had less technology than a design that is 6-7 years old.

No one is dying at 38mph drift unless the car blows up, which is a stretch. You were not there yet you think you're an expert of what actually happened. If I want to F my car up, I can do so. You mean to tell me with your boy scout attitude you have never once in your life done an irresponsible thing on a public road? Road rage, race, change lanes aggressively, enjoy the throttle of your sport car, ran a red etc etc... Don't lecture me on your BS. I can complain about 72k for fake leather because I am reviewing the car. I bought it, sat in it, stained it etc. Now I am sharing my experiences and you have a problem? bringing up air conditioning and using that against me when that was one of SEVERAL complaint's.. The original review is comparing a 109K 507 pack c63 to a 80k M4? Last response to you and just because I don't respond to your next idiotic post, doesn't mean you beat me on the debate, just mean's you can't argue with insanity. |

Having tracked both extensively, I found the M3 slightly more nimble on tighter tracks, albeit with a bit less steering feel and crappier brakes (besides being slower, but that didn't matter on the tracks as much). It also lacked torque down low, as I thought it was a bit heavy for its motor - and what a beautiful motor the S65 is - matched to the right chassis, but crippled on weight, steering and brakes (especially brakes, so disappointing). Interior is subjective - I thought the materials on the M3 were better, but it looked like Darth Vadar's toilet, all black and boring. My C63C had the performance package with LSD, CF, etc. so it was all loaded and pretty nice looking. Liked the flat bottomed steering, but preferred the M3's chunky steering wheel. Of course, the C63 sounded epic. It's biggest flaw was it's transmission. My M3 was 6spd so I didn't have the DCT. Note that Canadian C63's with the performance package have a firmed (P30) suspension vs. the same car in the US. ![]() ![]()

The 507 is a fast car, for sure. It's not that "ez" to get 3.5 as lots haven't and have been in the 3.8s + range.

I'm not really interested in the F80/F82 vs. 507 discussion. The 507 is the W204 C63 in the last year of a model run. It's an 8-year-old design.
Is it impressive that the 507 can hang with the brand new F80/F82? Yes. But it's equally as impressive that the lighter, slightly less powerful F80/F82 can put down such great straight line numbers. The proper comparison will be the W205 C63 - 476 hp in the standard version and 510 hp in the "S" model. The W205 will also weigh 220+ lbs (at least) less than the W204.

Is this the m3 e92 launch all over
The traditionalists post on these forums are quite ironic to me. How many f80/f82 haters dissed the untraditional move to v8 7 years ago and are now moaning the move to turbocharging?
Mark my words, in 10 years when M moves to electric engines, all the current F80/F82 haters will be moaning the move from petrol combustion engines and crying out to collect the S65s. Just saying. |
