Looks like my i-step is slightly older

Dont worry about looking at what istep you have. Probably better for someone else who is on a later istep version to confirm if they have worded folders or "." as well.

Thanks tho.

For FLE ECUs:

-To turn the side markers off, change LM_ID_LT04 and LM04_Name to F015Wert.

-To turn the side markers back on, change LM_ID_LT04 and LM04_Name back to F015Wert_SA552_SAE.
Ah missed that part. I didn't see "F015Wert" as an option within the "Front light Electronics Left/Right" but I did just change LM_ID_LT4 and LM04_Name to "00x0" which seemed to do the trick!

Thank you for the help!

Just did this on my '18 F80 through expert mode using Bimmercode and worked perfectly. Those (3) little amber LEDs just looked out of place.

For those who have "Front Light Electronics Left" and "Front Light Electronics Right" control units here is exactly what I did.

Front Light Electronics Left
- Navigate to Front Light Electronics Left
- Click on Expert mode
- Click on 3006 LED1
- Click on LM_ID_LT4
- Change to 02_VALUE / 0x00
- Go back to the 3006 LED1 page
- Click on LM04_NAME
- Change to 02_VALUE / 0x00
- Back on 3006 LED1 page and click code

Check & verify if value changes worked for the Left headlight. If no-go, revert back. If good, then proceed with the Front Light Electronics Right control unit.

Front Light Electronics Right
- Navigate to Front Light Electronics Right
- Click on Expert mode
- Click on 3006 LED1
- Click on LM_ID_LT4
- Change to 02_VALUE / 0x00
- Go back to the 3006 LED1 page
- Click on LM04_NAME
- Change to 02_VALUE / 0x00
- Back on 3006 LED1 page and click code

Enjoy!

Thanks all to previous posters for cluing me in.

Wanted to update my situation with the wierd folder names. In Esys 3.3.4, i used detect CAF for SWE and code on both TMS modules. After, i was able to see the correct folder names in Esys launcher pro 2.8.2+Esys 3.27 and successfully coded out the 3 amber LEDs using instructions in post 3.

Also, i found another method to disable the 3 amber LEDs, remove the corner light module from the headlight and disconnect the connector to the 3 amber LEDs. No coding necessary.

I just wanted to chime in and let you guys know that this exact method worked on my '18 F85 X5M. The 2018s have the iDrive updated and BimmerCode did not have easy menus enabled to code off the ambers but this code shared via expert mode worked perfectly. Thanks again!

This worked perfect on my 2020 F83. Super fast and easy the way you laid it out. Thank you. Going to try the same thing on my X3M later.

I know this is an old thread but what about people that don't have "Front Light Electronics Left" or "Front Light Electronics Right" options on the Bimmercode main screen?

The lighting stuff is in the Front Electronic Module and I don't see 3006LED1 at all in the expert section. There is a cornering lights deactivation but it's already showing active . Thanks for the help.
