Nothing new about the M3 on the other hand is so we can assume it still held back to July.

I asked again this morning and its still July direct from David

GOLFFRR, speak to David and have him check again. My store already received MY18 allocations for the M4 Coupe and Convertible with a March 2017 build (along with MY18 F32, F33 and F36 models). I'm on the East coast but I don't see how you guys being in the West would differ.

Yes, I do find it odd that the order/pricing guides haven't been released for MY18 but if David goes in to DCS, he should be able to see that he can place an order for MY18 M4's. Pricing still blocked but that is expected.

Canada and th US are two distincts markets.

Yeah I do know that, but I'd be shocked if start of delivery for Canadian and US markets were different by 4 months.

I was told I could modify my build up to ~5 weeks prior to production.
I didn't know this was an option, thank you!

We were assuming that a car manufactured in April 2018 for a May Euro Delivery would be a MY 2018 vehicle, as that's has been the corresponding case when we did a May 2011 Euro Delivery for her 2011 335is Coupe and my May 2016 Euro Delivery for my 2016 M4. You didn't mention Euro Delivery, so if you plan on a US delivery in late June, your F80 would likely be produced in March or early April and would most likely be a 2018.

Since production for a MY generally starts in July of the previous year, and if EOP for the F80 is October 2018, I'd speculate that there will be no change in the model year and the MY 2018 F80 will be manufactured through October 2018. It doesn't seem likely that BMW would make any tooling changes for what would be only a 3 month run of MY 2019 F80s, so there won't be any MY 2019 F80s. But I don't really have any extensive experience on what BMW does when phasing out a previous model.

As for new colors, here's hoping that they have a really good blue or red. My wife loves her Le Mans Blue E92 and would love a better blue than Yaz Marina for her F80.
Yes, this would be ED (my 3rd). I also hope for a good red or blue. I've had LeMans Blue and Imola, and would love either of those.

In March of '16, MY '16's were being produced. One year later those cars are two model years old as 'MY 18's are being produced in March of '17. MY '17 was short. Where did the time go?

March LCI M4s??

Ok, in light of the recent insights related to production schedules, does this now mean that LCI M4s will start production in March?

The MY2018 M4 is the M4 LCI, yes. The two are one and the same in the US (and Canada). So when the MY2018 M4 starts production so too does the M4 LCI. Previously that event was slated for July, but now it is slated for March.

Ordered and received my production number for MY2018 M4 a week ago. According to my contact at BMW Canada, he confirmed as well March for M4 and July for M3. Mine should be manufactured late March and delivered by end of April-early May. Can't wait, Im counting down the days!
