The 5k BMW rebate to the dealers helped, if that rebate goes away I seriously doubt any dealer would be willing to replicate those same deals.

I asked for a quote on a BSM M3CS and my first response was $935 a month including C.A. tax for an Msrp of 102k+ with 3k due at lease signing. Thats for 10k miles/36 months, I can probably do better but not by much more than this. I just do not want to take a bath on my 4 month old 2018 M3 ZCP.

What did they offer you on your 4 month old M3 ZCP and what did you pay?

No offer as of yet for my M3, I have not committed to the deal yet. But I am worried that what I owe will be more than what they will offer. MSRP was 78k+ and ended up with a discount of about 11,500 leaving me around 67k. I owe around 62k and change, I only have about 1k miles on it so far. That would be the only thing holding me back, although my car is no slouch either being a no charge Avus blue with SO interior.

There's no reason you should take a bath on your trade. I traded in my 2018 M3 ZCP on an M3 CS and did quite well.

$3k down is basically $83 more a month. That doesn't sound like a good deal for 10k miles. The bottom line is always what's the selling price?

Selling price is $86,595, before incentives of 4,500. MF is high at .00208 but they won't go lower. I can probably get another 1,000 off MSRP, but of course the down payment includes the first month payment, registration fees, doc fee and acuisition fee.

Depends on your region, but I didn't have any problem getting buy rate MF. Selling price is decent though! Good luck!

"Almost all 1200 units are already spoken for". Yeah I don't think that's true unless they mean almost all the cars are going to dealer allocations.

There's a good amount still left on the table. In my search I also came across dealers who either wouldn't/couldn't go lower on price and/or money factor. Move on and find a dealer who wants to sell a car on your terms. If you're willing to put in the legwork you can find what you're after. Good luck and let us know how we can help.

Are you guys planning to buy these out at lease end? Do you think they’ll be worth more than the 60%ish residual at lease end (~$65k)?

That’s the big question for me ..hard to say but is it a collectible?

In 3 years, 65k will get you within striking distance for to a new nicely optioned G80 M3.

If I’m spending 65k on a used car , I’ll put more down and go shopping for a P car.

I will not be buying this car at the end of my lease. I personally don’t believe they will be worth more than the residual but I will enjoy the 3 years and move onto something else afterwards...that’s if something doesn’t catch my attention beforehand

I tend to agree that there’s very little chance it’s worth $65 at lease end. No way these cars are collectible and someone spending $65k for a 4 year old M3 makes no sense. $950/month seems like a lot then... may have to drive one to see if it inspires me.

Haha like the majority of M3 owners just jump in and out of leases.

Found this on the forums... by a guy whose handle starts with "Can" lol. Can't remember the full name.

"I'd say there is very little "cosmetic" difference between a CS and a CP. The vast majority of changes are performance enhancements. The CF front lip and deck lid spoiler (Gurney flap) are lightweight and aerodynamically functional and, in conjunction with the vented hood, result in the car having net downforce compared the the non-CS that has net lift. The hood contributes to the downforce, improves engine cooling and is significantly lighter than the aluminum one. The 763M wheels are significantly lighter than the 437M and 666M. The only exterior "cosmetic" is probably the CF diffuser (I doubt it has much aerodynamic impact).

In the interior, the single zone climate system, lower-end sound system (M4cs only), modified center console and unique doorcards (M4cs only) all contribute to reduce weight. The alcantara seat inserts (M4cs only) hold hold you much better in place and the alcantara steering is a pleasure to hold in your hands. The only interior "cosmetics" are the alcantara dash inserts and ///M stripe on the headrests.

The electronics (EDC, ABS, DSC, EPS and e-diff) as well as the suspension components (from a different mix) have all been tuned and optimized for R-compound tires.

So you need more than just an engine tune to make a CP perform and feel like a CS."
