Running r888r in the rear with MPSS in the front

Has anyone run this combo on the street? I'm tuning my car to BM3 Stage 1 91 and would like to be able to put the power down in first and second gear without boost reduction if possible. I have the 20 inch zcp wheels and from what I can tell, there is no 265 width r888r in a 20 inch wheel size for the front. Would just running the r888r tires in the rear while keeping the stock MPSS in the front make sense? I don't want to upset the balance of the car too much, but right now the back end is very loose even on stock power.

Any thoughts appreciated! I'd switch back to the MPSS in the rear for winter driving when we get rain out here in California.

It's generally always recommended to not mix tires. You will have different handling characteristics front to rear.

Yes you can run MPSS up front and R888R out back. You said you'd switch up for rain, and that's my only advice. R888Rs are like water skis in the lightest rain.

R888Rs are also so fucking loud, i'd definitely take a swing on some MPS4S prior to going back to the 888Rs again.
