I installed the ssr intakes and really like them but the shorter one is knocking on the cf brace, it cut through the foam tape, do I need to remove it and try to push it down more??

Mine did too. Ended up just buying a really beefy adhesive furniture pad at the hardware store and stuck it under the cf brace. The filter cuts right through the flimsy rubber pad they supply with the kit.

The bigger problem is the silicone coupler attached to the plastic tube going to the turbo. You can't twist it to adjust fitment, otherwise you'll snap the support brace that gets screwed in. It's also a PITA to get it over the metal pipe, you almost need to warm it up just to give a little when forcing the metal pipe in. I couldn't adjust or remove the pipe for fitment once it was in the coupler.

I sound a little bitter because I am haha. It took me way longer than it should have to install it, and I just don't have the patience for it. You get what you pay for I guess. Ended up just going back to stock in the end because I really don't like the screen door filter design.

Thanks guys, maybe some pipes are longer then others, or maybe it's an installation issue. The YouTube video made the installation look super easy (but doesn't it always).

The longer pipe is rock solid, wish the shorter pipe had another attachment point to secure it, seems it's just hanging there and vibrating- seems like it may cause a problem with the MAF sensor eventually.

The mesh sounds great, but I am a little concerned about the lack of filtration

I had an issue like that on a similar designed intake. Bought a 45 degree silicone coupler, cut it to length and installed the pipe and it didn’t hit. Just sucks that you have to buy an extra separate piece.

I bought this: 3 inches 45 Degree Elbow Turbo/Intercooler/Intake Piping Coupler Silicone Hose (Black & Red) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GXJHYRY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Ty3kEb3Z2DHJM

But you should measure your piping diameter to make sure you get the right size.
