I hope you and a lot of people in Asia don't buy your cars because of what you just stated. You buy your cars based on what you like, how much you think it's worth and how you intend to use it. Period.

It's not just cars. You should apply that to a lot of things in life.
Chinese for a while bought 50% of Swiss luxury watches (not anymore because of corruption crackdown) and the Swiss watch companies are now suffering.

Buying expensive things is a way to show people you have made it. Yeah it's shallow but that's the way it goes. Luxury companies are depended on it.

From the first page-

Anyone have an idea or link to a BMW image of what their "Lime Rock gray metallic" looks like?

This is interesting... In wondering how close to MGM...

Bit underwhelming.

Like Rob Ferretti said, another L.E. model of brand X to create a demand.

That's how it works all over the world. You can tell yourself it isn't so but it's still the truth.

You are putting your values over others. Things are different in Asia, business relationships are dependent on your image, the way you are treated etc.

I dont subscribe to it, cos i was brought up diffrently, but i can see why a large portion of asians buy things that way.

True story... when the AMG series for A,GLA,CLA etc came out in my country, a huge number of VIP wives and mistresses ordered the cars without ever testing them, they were bought on the basis of "just give me the most expensive model in the series" and there were huge number of complaints about these cars being uncomfortable, hard, loud etc and being traded back to the dealership at rock bottom prices.

Of course if the pound continues to fall that will be a bargain for buyers coming in from outside.

BHP increase of 7%
Torque increase of nearly 8%
Ring time decrease of just under 3%

But seriously is it worth a 58% price hike over a regular M4?

I was expecting it to be about 70-75k not 90k!

The weights quoted don't seem to add up, the article quotes "EU" which for the M4 CP DCT is 1615KG inc driver (nominal 75KG addition) they quote the CS as 1655KG inc driver.

Where is the additional 40KG coming from?

Haha! They will sell tons of them! There will be waitlists for them! You weren't their target customer and you wouldn't have bought one anyway. Stop it with the fake outrage already. The manufactured outrage by MT fans is so tired and contrived. MOST people don't want an MT anymore so just give up the crusade.

MOST people!
