The 20-10% for 1-2 is just a starting point. Some have good traction and can get away with only 10% in 1st. I know one guy who needs a 30-20-10% for 1-2-3.

I would assume the increase is based on using the upgraded hardware since it is called out in the tune and needed to extract the efficiency of the tune..... but that is a question for PTF

Sooo sorry for not reporting back.
I took it in and they reflashed it. They did a few minor adjustments. But I still don't feel wowed unfortunately. I thought I'd be getting thrown back in the seat lol I could just be used to the power. I feel it pull harder on 3rd + ... 1st and 2nd doesn't grip. Anyways - I really appreciate you guys helping out and providing feedback!!! Do you guys think going back down to 19s on a thicker tire will help ?? I am currently on 20s |

You need something sticky like RE71R in 305/30/19, paired with a 265/35 front. I use this now with good results on BBS 9.5ET25 F and 10.5ET35 R. That's for Stage 2 93.
Now that I've done a Paul E85 race tune I'm trying fatter Mickey Thompsons since the RE71Rs don't hold in 1 and 2.

I'm gonna ride like this for a few months and try to sell my wheels for a set of 19s Then go with a custom tune on e85 with flex fuel (shop suggested this) including crank hub So I'll be back 😎 lol |

I’m running stage 2 with stock downpipes. You’re not making that much more power to actually need aftermarket dps.

You need sticky tires to have grip in 1st and 2nd gear to feel that thrown in the seat feeling. You need more power to feel thrown back in the seat in 3rd gear. It might also help to be in the passenger seat, so you can feel the car more compared to driving it.
I noticed my stock tires spin badly in top of 2nd gear going into 3rd gear with a stage 1 tune. I switched to 295/40ZR-18 Falken AZENIS RT660 tires on 18x11 and it now grips. The M3 feels amazing with traction in 2nd gear with a tune compared to stock. Last edited by lourenco; 04-01-2021 at 07:51 PM.. |

@ToySnobs give this a try:
Get out to a spot where you have open road for some runs, not necessarily fast, but a lane all yours. Pull over a sec. Reset Adaptations in BM3. If DCT do manual mode and run 1st gear up to 3K, back off down to 1.5K. With no pedal shift into 2nd gear, then easy rev that to 3K and back off. Do all your other gears softly to 3K and back off. Now do same to 4K with a moderate pedal, not hard. Back off at the top. Run all the gears. Now you can do same to 6K with a heavy pedal. Run all the gears. Now do a dig. No shifts over 6.5K. See if the DME learning adaptations gave any power back.

The delta between stock and stage 1 and stage 1 and 2 is not the same. Isn't it like 20HP from 1 to 2? So I don't imagine the feeling would be the same and could see how it would be underwhelming.

My Stage-2 car feels stronger than Stage-1 for sure. But It's not a night and day difference.
For whatever reason I really only seem to get the big juice in Sport Plus. Sport feels pretty similar to Stage-1 for me. Either way, the power is pretty good, IMO. If you want BIG power, this is probably not the right platform. The cost:benefit gets pretty high over the 600hp mark. |

If the dynos are accurate, it's an extra ~100lb/ft in the first 1000RPM. That's a big delta. Peak numbers aren't all that impressive.

These are the best examples I could find quickly, while pretending to do my job. This is comparing stage-1 91oct to stage-2 93oct, so the differences should be a little more significant with 93 vs 93. The actual torque output seems to be about the same (again, 91 vs 93) but you can see here that the torque comes on ~500 RPM earlier with the stage-2 tune. That may not seem like much, but it makes a significant difference in day-to-day driving, which is what I use my car for. Edit: Also the numbers shown in the first plot are REALLY high for stage-1, so really not a good graph to use for comparison. Again, quicky post here. |

My point was even if there is all I have is anecdotal because I've never felt the difference. OP is saying he doesn't feel much difference which is inline with what I've read and been told about stage 1 to stage 2.

The fact that it was only another $100 to purchase all of their OTS tunes after buying stage-1 made it a no-brainer. You're definitely not going to get these gains for $100 worth of anything else with this platform. |

stg1 to stg 2 barely anything noticeable even if you can with the same hardware.... you should add DP's when switching to stg 2 then the power increase is slight. Like 2% I think
