DIY - Tri-Color Decal Grill
First off, I really like the tri-colored grills look. They look great with many car colors, except for Yellow and Green (doesn't match). I have mineral grey metallic, so I wanted to see what it looks like on my car. I didn't expect the quality to be very good, the whole purpose was to see if I like the look before spending $350 for the ones painted by iND.
I got the decals, I ordered 2 sets knowing I'll mess up on the first ones (I was right). I learned the decals were too wide, so I used the paper trimmer to remove about 1mm or 1/4 of the width (enough so the the vinyl's width doesn't have to bend around a curve). I used the heat gun to increase adhesion and remove wrinkles. Note: I removed the grill to make it easier to work with. You don't have to, but I'm OCD. Tri-Color Decal: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171982486243 The results? You'll be the judge from the photos. I'm sure these won't hold up (especially on the track) and I might go with the iND ones eventually. For now, they look great.

That's awesome, thanks for sharing! I might give it a shot on my M4 but I think it'll probably look dumb given that my car is Sakhir Orange, not a grayscale color.

I did this on my AY and I like it. Whoever says it does not go well on AY, I think the choice is personal.

Did this on my e93, recently upgraded to f80 and have the stickers.
Just curious since you can’t remove the m3 logo, did you measure and place both sides or just put on cut and then do the other side as it looks like I have plenty of extra sticker by couple inches? |

I ran these on my old car for over 6 months. Through the wash’s and winter, they held up
I had some leftover and installed them on the new car I expect them to last a couple of years at least, if not for the entire lease And I still have spare in case
