which camber plates to go with

I have a stock suspension f83 on 666m wheels on ps4s stock tire specs. I did my first track day last year in November and now I'm hooked. Car destroyed my from outer tire wall on both sides. Can someone help out with suspensions mods? I don't know much about suspension. Car has electronic dampening so idk which plates I can use with the stock shocks. Thinking of buying lowering springs, maybe some Eibach to start off.

Vorshlag or possibly millway would be my suggestions. Then consider running an 18 inch square set of wheels and tires to make tire rotation possible. You’ll also want to upgrade your brake fluid and brake pads if you haven’t already. That’s a great starting point.

I would go with Vorshlag, I haven't tracked much but I daily my car an have no problems, about 5000 mi with them on. The design compared to others looks to be better.

Here is a video one of our members made about different camber plates for our platform.

What would be a good set of brakes and fluid?

I run EBC Bluestuff and Castro’s SRF. Can’t go wrong with that combo for street use. For track, get dedicated track pads.

I read in a different post to go with Ferro do for track and anything but OEM for street use.

I run Castrol SRF brake fluid. You can order it through fcp euro and take advantage of their lifetime replacement warranty.

For brake pads I run ferro ds 1:11, but it may be too loud and squeaky for daily use. I would consider PFC 08 pads.

What's the difference between those two pads in terms of performance for someone who's bearly getting into autocross? I have a shop so I can swap between OEM or street pads and autocross when needed.

Thanks for the input. Would I have to buy any additional suspensions components to run the camber plates? Or will I have excessive wear on some components? I'd want to buy anything I'd need ahead of the season opening event in April.

I wouldn't recommend DS1.11 or 3.12 for AutoX. Those are more endurance pads which take a bit of time to get up to operating temperature. For AutoX you want something that grabs right away. An aggressive street pad might be better (like DS2500 or EBC Yellow/Blue).

You shouldn't need anything else to run camber plates. They won't wear anything else down faster aside from possibly the inner tread on your tires if you just do a lot of straight line driving.

Just a note on camber plates, depending on your year car, you’ll need three bolt or five bolt plates for mounting. Just a small detail.

The different pads have different operating temperature ranges. If you are running in autocross, you will want a pad that has a lower operating temperature, and doesn’t require a lot of heat to make the pad grabby. Farkel is correct on pad suggestions, the ds2500 would be a good option. Plus, again, fcp euro offers the Ferro ds2500. So you could run those pads and get free lifetime replacement.

Awesome! I thought I was gonna need way more parts. Had an STI before the m4 and I basically had to replace my whole suspension to do autoX. Thanks for the input I'll start purchasing parts soon, first event is in April.

Def will be getting camber plates, pads and fluid. Any tire recommendations? Have 666m wheels.

Are the ds2500 a noisy pad? Wondering if I should grab two sets of pads.

I would just stick with one set of pads just to make sure you like them. If the ds2500 is anything like my ds1:11, they make quite a lot of brake dust, and that might be a bummer, especially with the 666m wheels.

As far as tires, it depends on what is available in the sizes you need. I liked my Goodyear supercar 3’s as a tire that can do double duty as a street tire and track tire.

I have Michelin ps4s all around atm. Oh well I'll just have to clean the wheels on a weekly basis now.
