Waze issues

I am trying to run the Waze program on my M4 screen and can't seem to figure out why the car does not recognize my phone.
Does anyone have a solution?
Do I need to update my system or have the display updated/
I'm at a loss...

Do you actually have CarPlay? If so, do the other apps work? Can you pair your phone via Bluetooth?

I am not sure if I have CarPlay or not.
I am not able to pair my phone with the Bluetooth to see what's on my screen.

I spoke to someone at BimmerTech and was quoted on Android Auto MMI at a cost of $750 U.S. plus tax etc.
Am I missing something here or is that the only way to get your phone on the head unit in my car?
Is there a more reasonable way to see Waze and Google Maps in my car?
I know BMWs are expensive but that seems like a double dip in my wallet!

Sorry for the rant but hopefully someone here knows a better way.

Send a PM over to our coding master kubax86 asking if you have CarPlay and how much it costs for full screen if you don’t. Include your VIN.

He’s done all my BMWs and I’m very happy with his services.
