GTS Tail light Questions

I recently installed a set of GTS style sequential lights on my F83 and saw that the inner and outer lights needed to be connected with a wire. Due to how the F83 opens the trunk for the top to drop into and opens the other way to access the trunk space, I am not sure how to properly place the wires so that they do not get caught on any part of the top moving mechanism. Does anyone have any walkthroughs or pictures of how to do this well? Thanks i’m advance!

If you have the LCI (later year model) type tail lights, no need for that connecting cable!
