XPH Performance Diffuser

For those that have the XPH Performance Style diffuser, does your kick feature still work? Or did you have to do the mod and move the sensor?

I didn't have that specific one, but I had the OEM CF diffuser that it is based on and the kick function would only work intermittently after I upgraded. I didn't move the sensor though.

We have note tasted it, I installed the 3 piece diffuser on my M4 and although the kick function still worked it was not consistent

Is there something special mixed into the carbon fiber weave?

My understanding, its the carbon (metal particles

) in the diffuser that "blocks" the sensor and makes it work intermittently. I wanted the "OEM" carbon fiber look AND keep the kick release feature but chose a black plastic diffuser as I couldn't tell the difference from a genuine CF diffuser from more than 4 ft away. My kick release feature works EVERY TIME, ALL the time.

I got one of the jcsportline diffusers you can get on aliexpress and I think maybe also amazon. I was expecting the kick to open trunk feature to stop working but it still works fine for me. Might be due to it being the plastic/CF outside instead of pure CF, not sure.
