Diffuser Install Help?
I bought the diffuser linked below back in November and tried to install with no luck. The center diffuser piece seems to warped and wont fit, almost like a bad mold or got warped during curing. If I push one side in the other ends up with a huge gap and the flaps wont go flush against the car. Tried to center and end up with a gap on both ends. I don't really want to try pushing too much incase it cracks. Am I just SOL or if there a way to "bend" the piece to fit?
I contacted the vendor a few times now since then but still waiting on a reply on the pictures I sent. https://cencalmotorsport.com/product...2fdf34d3&_ss=c |

Most diffusers mount using the same locations as the stock painted piece. What you’re installing is very different from stock. Is it supposed to be fully assembled before installing or built up as you install it? It has so many additional mounting points that it’s too difficult to troubleshoot from a few pictures.

SOL I think. Maybe gently hit the edges with a heat gun to loosen the resin?

I think I really am SOL. I tried installing it again and making sure I got all the tabs in the right place. Seems like the part I got just had a really bad mold, I can see sections where it looks like its been pushed in. Doesn't even sit flat on the ground.
Hopefully the vendor get back to me and can replace it with a new one. Doubt it cause I haven't heard back from them after I sent the first set of photos back in November and they said they were reviewing them when I emailed again back in January. Still haven't heard back from them when I asked in Feb. Might just have to buy another one from someone else. :/ |

I had a rw carbon diffuser that was like that and I went and put it on the kitchen counter and you could see it was bowed in the middle .

I would push in one side in place first. Put a screw on that side. Then push/force the other side in. Put a screw on that side now. Apply some heat too if you want to make it a little more flexible.
Don’t stress these aftermarket pieces. They’re cheap for a reason. I’ve gone through 4 front lips and 3 diffusers.

We install diffuser here in our shop daily, it looks like the shaping from the mold may be a bit off.
We have a lot of different diffuser options and some similar to this style. https://www.rwcarbon.com/63/3/0/1079...-diffuser.html If you have any questions feel free to reach out to us 714-328-4406 Also for all forum members we have 5% coupon code BPOST
