does anyone know if the F80 is going to have the same rotors as the e9x M3? (possible OEM caliper retrofit)

John Sibal should also do his magic since the front has lesser camo now...

New engine tweaks, new head, new plumbing... may increase the engine height a bit or like on the MINI, it is just for aesthetics, like how some M side vents have been. And to clarify, the hole in the M3 GT hood is aero,- there is a complete tunnel from the bumper through to the hood which is sealed off from the engine so it provides no venting or cooling. Anyways it looks good.

That would be so fantastic! I would be partial to selectable LED Angel Eyes; I know white is the "cool" thing to do these days but I would love to make mine bright yellow like an ALMS car's, almost as a throw back to yesteryear, racing and something different than every other new BMW on the road but that is just me.

Tried to pull some of the camouflage back a bit, no idea how accurate it is or not. The red lines just indicate what I think are extra detail work on the intakes (combo of the latest spy shots and the earlier ones with the black tarp).

Ignore the red dots, just reference points I used to line everything up.

To me, it lacks the front end aggressiveness but that can be said of the E90 M3 too. Coupe on the other hand is totally different. So it's hard to visualize what the coupe will look like. Somehow I am not a big fan of the four-door. It's just not M3 visually.

Man this car keeps looking better and better. Sucks that we are still a year away from seeing these beauties on the road.

That wont happen. In a lot of states colored lights are considered distracting and are against the law to use on the road.

Angel eyes are the halos and not the "headlights" they are DRLs (outside the new 7). I think they can be yellow if they meet the FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARDS-Sec. 571.108 Standard No. 108; Lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment. says they can be yellow same as side markers.

BMW used yellow decades ago as factory color for them as well.

Other brands like Buick have Yellow DRLS.

(3) Is designed to provide the same color as the other lamp in the
pair, and that is one of the following colors as defined in SAE Standard
J578 MAY88: White, white to yellow, white to selective yellow, selective
yellow, or yellow;
(4) If not optically combined with a turn signal lamp, is located so
that the distance from its lighted edge to the optical center of the
nearest turn signal lamp is not less than 100 mm, unless:
(i) The luminous intensity of the DRL is not more than 2,600 candela
at any location in the beam and the turn signal meets the requirements
of S5.3.1.7; or
(ii) (For a passenger car, multipurpose passenger vehicle, truck, or
bus that is manufactured before October 1, 1995, and which uses an upper
beam headlamp as a DRL as specified in paragraph S5.5.11(a)(1)(ii)) the
luminous intensity of the DRL is greater than 2,600 candela at any
location in the beam and the turn signal lamp meets the requirements of
S5.3.1.7; or
(iii) The DRL is optically combined with a lower beam headlamp and
the turn signal lamp meets the requirements of S5.3.1.7; or
(iv) The DRL is deactivated when the turn signal or hazard warning
signal lamp is activated.
(5) If optically combined with a turn signal lamp, is automatically
deactivated as a DRL when the turn signal lamp or hazard warning lamp is
activated, and automatically reactivated as a DRL when the turn signal
lamp or hazard warning lamp is deactivated.
(b) Any pair of lamps that are not required by this standard and are
not optically combined with any lamps that are required by this
standard, and which are used as DRLs to fulfill the specifications of
S5.5.11(a), shall be mounted at the same height, which shall be not more
than 1.067 m above the road surface measured from the center of the lamp
on the vehicle at curb weight, and shall be symmetrically disposed about
the vertical centerline of the vehicle.

I know the camo is still on and it's too early to make any kind of judgement, but anyone else find the look so far kind of boring? The sedan look takes away from it as well.

Curious as to what the M4 coupe will look like, but still wish they wouldn't call it a M4.

I know, I know, times are changing. Sorry to be the negative one.

Why wouldn't I be? Is it not possible? Take another look at it.
Since you're part of the M3\M4 testing crew, what is it?
