I would never trust anything Jeremy Clarkson said about cars. He is an entertainer. Not an auto journalist.

I actually think that his reviews are mostly spot on and honest. Especially retrospectively.

If he likes a car/brand because of sentimental reason but the product is flawed he will admit it.

At his level now he doesn't need to look up to magazine bosses or car manufacturers to place blessings on cars that he honestly doesn't believe in.
