Love mine... Far from feminine IMO.

I regret not getting SS2 actually. One time I should have listened to my father.
Not unhappy with MW but after seeing SSII person it is a bit better.

SSII was my second choice after SO. It's a great looking color on this car. Go for it.
An unsolicited comment - I hate these types of threads. You're going to get 99.999% of people saying it's a great color and are happy with their choice. Just get the color you like. Don't rely on what others think. |

Coming from a BSM M4 and into a SSII M4 ZCP, I gotta say.......SSII is a killer color. It has many shades and always looks amazing. A big plus is that it always looks pretty clean, despite being really dirty and coming from a BSM car, I can seriously appreciate that.

No regrets and would order again no problem.
It was the only colour I even considered when ordering my M3 But it does look miles better with the 437M in either colour than the terrible 666M |

Silverstone is my second favorite next to Laguna Seca Blue. Elegant and sporty.

I like the way SS contrasts so well with Carbon and gloss black. it also changes colour in different lights. look at how it looks in flat cloudy light vs sunlight. see pic 3.
in pic 2 it just looks plain silver here's mine in the distance with another CP owner GTSussex in San Marino Blue and an Austin yellow to contrast further. SS is definitely the subtle colour of the three... these are all iphone pics with no filters or colour photoshopping

I had an AW E92 M3. My 1st choice was SS, but I couldn't find now with the options I wanted. MY F82 on order is SS, and I only have 36 days till my ED. C'mon!

You can see the baby blue vs gold in this pic (with different focus): if you like it, get it! If you don't like it, don't get it and laugh at others.

I have a SS2 on my F80 right now and I love it. I always get compliments and some people even ask if it is a custom color. IMO it is the best color to show the lines and shape of the car.

Why do so many people care what anyone else thinks about their car color. Its not for other people its for you! I see so many posts on here about people worrying what others will think of them. We all have different things we like. GET WHAT YOU LIKE! not what you think other people will like.
Life is short. Enjoy it while you are here. |

Sulverstone is the best color on this M3. I don't own an m3 so someone can't say I'm biased. It looks great and if I bought m3 I would go with it. The only issue for me is that I like the carbon roof for performance but wish it was painted to match the car. I would seriously consider painting it and wish BMW offered that choice.

I had Silverstone on my E93 and I think it looked amazing - especially how it changes character based upon different lighting conditions (which is what I also love about Austin Yellow).

This my second Silverstone. My E92 that I kept for 6 years was also Silverstone. I liked the colour so much, I decided to stick with it for my F82.
I like it because it is a colour that is unique to ///M cars while not being too flashy (versus Sakhir Orange, Yas Marina Blue or Austin Yellow). Being highly reflective, it is very dynamic and changes shade depending on the surrounding. It is also easy to maintain and still looks good when dirty. In the 8 years of SSII ownership, I have received countless compliments about the colour.
