Before and after install. Install was easy, and like everyone else said, have to trim the alignment clip down for best fitment. Thanks Abdul!

Any one install on a F83 convertible (or any F82/83 LCI) yet? Is wiring between the bumper and trunk taillights still required? The convertible trunk mechanism makes routing the communication wire a little more difficult.

I can't speak to F83, but I installed on a F36 LCI, and I did NOT need to use the cable between the inner and outer tail lights.

Confirming MikE90 experience, I did not need the red/yellow wire from outer to inner lights. Big help for my F33 avoiding running the wires considering the complicated hinges routing.
Also, in my case, the rear fog lights light the amber turn signal lights. I had seen an image where the rear fog was separate red light near the reverse lights. Not a problem, just an observation. Lights look great! Last edited by Carrera Dave; 08-03-2021 at 05:49 PM.. |

Did you have to use the resistors? Pumped to hear I don’t need to run those wires!! Cleaner, more OEM fit! Last edited by Fat Goose; 08-03-2021 at 06:45 PM.. |

Interesting. When I coded rear fogs on my LCI (using Bimmercode), I did not realize there was an option to choose which light illuminated on activating the switch just below the front fog light switch. Guess it defaulted/activated what I thought was the 'standard' Euro lights already in place on my LCI lights.
I'll need to look closer on these VLAND lights, but I do not see any lights near the reverse lights. Again, the images I had seen on these lights showed the rear fogs to be near the reverse lights. Appreciate the conversation! PS: I did use the resistors. Also note: the VLAND instruction insert suggested to clip three plastic tabs for convertibles only. I only did one on the outside. Honestly, I'm not certain I needed to even do that. Last edited by Carrera Dave; 08-03-2021 at 08:07 PM.. |

Problem with light up
Installed lights on my F82 and the leaves light up 3 to 4x when I unlock. [IMG][/IMG]Once I lock the car and unlock only the turn signals light up. Anyone having this issue? It works fine once I start the car. Pre-LCI if that matters and I have headlights set to auto tried all options and can't figure it out. Thanks

Agree. I thought it would be too much... Now kicking myself for not going with the smoked option for my SO M4.

Lol!..Probably protective mechanism for crazy guys like us that keep locking and unlocking to see if welcoming lights work. Thanks for I-drive tip--will do the same.
