Clicking sound when turning wheel lock to lock

2016 M4, stock everything.

Clicking sound just started when i put the wheel either side from lock to lock, sometimes i hear it from front, sometimes from back.

What is going on here?

Why would having spacers cause a clicking sound when turning the wheel? Legitimately asking. I’ve never had spacers on a car.

I think it has to do with two pieces of metal pressed together and they flex and creak or click because there is play between them.

The spacer is just pinched between the rim and the hub and even when torqued could experience a small amount of movement when turning causing a clicking sound.
