Nope! Not even the new Charger that the department just started pushing out to the stations is that fast. The BMW, Kawi and Harley bikes aren't fast enough to catch a modern sportbike either.

So, 60# remain largely unaccounted for.

Has any new info emerged in the 2 years since this thread de-volved into an appendage measuring contest?

I need to weigh my F83 ZCP...

Yes, I know the CT adds a significant amount of weight, but I wonder how that added weight has been offset by my Carbon Ceramic Brakes, GTS carbon fiber hood, Meistershaft Exhaust and Signature wheels that are noticably lighter than the 666M wheels?

Found a place to weigh my car. Will post my findings. Hoping it's in 3500 lb range. I've already dropped 42lbs with my new set of wheels & tires.

An m4 weighing in at 3700 pounds in "competition" form....what has the world come too.

I really need to get my ass to go test drive a 911. Albeit my 2015 m3 "stripper" weighed in at 3,450 pounds so it wouldn't be that much different.

At 3450lb, that's likely without fuel though...

That would be awesome if mine would be under 3500 to start. Almost stripped...only 6MT, leather, rear sunshade, heated rear seat (I wonder how much weight that adds). Trying to drop 100 lbs initially (wheels, exhaust, hood). Almost 200 eventually (seats, brakes, battery,...).

I just realized my signature is turned off which included the details.

Yes, it was with 1/8th tank of fuel - about 2 gallons worth. I thought that compared reasonably to the original post. Bottom line is ~150-200 pounds lighter than the M's weighed on the first page if I'm doing the math right, primarily driven by DCT vs. manual.

Comparing to a similar load of fuel, your stripper M3 is about 165lb lighter than the CP M4 in the OP. 55lb is the DCT and 30lb are the 666M wheels (assuming you have the 513M). The M4 should be ~45 lighter than the M4, which leaves another 125lb for various options, weight BMW added and heavier CP hardware, which seems like a lot.

My 2015 DCT M4 (EDC, extended leather, HK sound, 437M) weighed ~3558lb with full fuel, so I do find the M4 in the OP to be quite heavy. I haven't put my M4cs on scales yet, but I am eager to find out how much it weighs.

Comparing your stripper 2015 M3 to my 2015 M4 adds up:
3450lb your M3 1/4 fuel
+75lb 3/4 fuel
+55lb DCT
+9lb 437M
-44lb M3 to M4
+13lb other options (HK sound, extended leather)
3558lb my M4 full fuel

Now does the 18' ZCP weigh around 100lbs more than 17' due to steel driveshaft?

I've been weighing a bunch of cars as they've been at my house. Should have an F80 in the next couple weeks to add to the list.

Weights are adjusted to reflect what the weight would be with a half full gas tank and no driver, for more meaningful comparison.

Many of the cars aren't stock-- weight relevant mods listed.

Results so far:

You can see pics of the cars/scales in the ongoing thread I have on this here: http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=602929

... I need to reweight my car, as I've taken another ~15 lbs out of it since I made this thread originally...

Don't forget different driveshafts and my sweet sweet magnesium oil pan

But yes, it's bloating. I wonder why/where it's coming from.

Yup, that's what I meant with "weight BMW added", which seems to be a rather elusive figure. Although the 2017 still had the CF driveshaft.

Same here. I wonder, when I weigh my CS, if it will just weight the same as my 2015 and the whole "weight reduction thing" is just to bring the M4 back down to its original weight .

Great! Put it on scales and get a real world weight with pictures of the scales and a half tank of gas and I'll put it on the list. Also, I need the model year and body style.

This is not a list of curb weights.

Obioban - We need to meet up since we are in the same town. If interested let me know

On another note: That 2,500 pound 911 sounds surreal. I realize it's older. I do have a dream of a lightweight DD 993 but even they are hard to get under 3000 pounds without significant DD impact.

Purely subjective, I’ve flogged a 2017 M3 Competition package vs. my 2015 M4 with aftermarket alloy 19” wheels 265/285; plus, MP HAS and MPE— I’d buy the 2015 hands down for pure driving fun. It may have been the 3 extras noted. Otherwise, given my history, I’d already bought the new M car as I don’t typically keep more than 3 years. I did sell the Turbo S though, given overall lack of driving thrill from the cockpit. It’s a gentleman’s sportscar. Yes, super fast, yet just too refined for my taste....
