You ended up buying a 2015 M4 at a great deal which you sold with less than 1000 miles. If you sold it for close to what you listed it for, you easily at a minimum broke even on your total price for the car including the ED trip.

Now I see this M3 that you just bought via ED listed for sale with barely any miles on it and again looking at the price, you are looking to break even at a minimum. Is this going to be a trend for free Euro Delivery's, all expenses paid? If yes, then cheers to you. However, I do feel a little let down because when I helped you on extensively you on this thread.... http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1066278 I was genuinely doing it thinking I am helping a rookie (on pricing) fellow member. At the time I did not think this would turn into a buy/sell trend. So this is a little disappointing to say the least. I know what you do with your cars is no business of mine but I do feel the need to point this out.

I would also like to point out to fellow members that you can do an ED yourself for the same or lesser price and get the complete euro experience. You just have to do some legwork in getting a good deal.

For those who don't have the patience, go for it.

Not trying to shit on your thread but just spoke my mind here.

The above said, if you genuinely trying to sell your car because you have your heart set on a individual color, then I sincerely apologize and good luck to you. But please realize how this looks when you sell a 2015 and a 2016, both well under a 1000 miles. Doesn't seem normal.

Cheers.

Love the color combo and the SILVER wheels. But no tax savings for me in Ohio. That would be awesome if I could save the tax money.

Are there states that when you buy a used car you DON'T pay taxes?
What happens? Do you pay a "property" tax or something when you renew your registration based on a KBB-type estimate? I have only purchased/titled cars in Ohio.

LOL @ this thread. Car is officially for sale, color isn't growing on me. It's literally sitting in my garage gathering dust with 41 miles. I lowered the price and it is FIRM. Contact me if you have any questions and thanks for looking people!

I dont understand, based on the options you listed, MSRP prob is mid 70k. So basically your selling your used car for MSRP. Once its titled, its USED. LOL, my bud just picked up a brand new M3, close to 8k off sticker.

LOL at you OP. Brand new cars don't come with 41 miles and previous title regardless of price - false advertisement?

Must've been a tough valentines for you getting so angry at the OP.

I really don't see what the big deal is here? if the guy wants to ask MSRP, why shouldn't he be able to? It's probably rare that he'll be able to get that, but it's not crazy... tough to get an order. these are some unique colors, so he might have a hard time but let him go for it!!

You have to be retarded to pay msrp on a used car. Matter in fact, you are dumb to pay msrp on a new car.

Smokin' deal! I offered him 76,000 but he said the most he'd take is 75,500... damn!

I'd love to meet the consumer that assumes this one. Good luck, pal.

The guy is just trying to flip a ED car.

Oh and OP should stay FIRM at his price, especially on this forum since none of us have any idea what we are doing.

I recommend advertising this car on the Porsche forum and ask $10K over MSRP since those guys like to over pay for stuff.

Exclamation

OP, Okay so I wasn't going to post this but it is pretty obvious what you are doing here for a second time in under 1.5 years You say you are not trying to make a profit but selling a used car for what you paid for it with a euro trip included is a profit IMO. One could argue that a seller is entitled to ask for whatever they want for it but when you post a asking price of $75,500 and then LOL! at the people challenging it or trying to make sense of it, I feel obligated to respond.

Attached is the same excel sheet that I used when helping you get a good deal on your first M. The build in the sheet is exactly how you have described in your post. Since you picked up the car in November, the new 2016 increase on base price hadn't kicked in so you would have paid what I did. The only assumption and a very good one here is that you got the same (1k over invoice) if not a better deal than your M4 prior to this car. Looking at your old thread for the M4, I am confident that you could not have paid more than $1000 over invoice for this M. But for arguments sake, let's say you did pay more (2k), even then the price is still well below what you are asking. And this is for a used car which is what blows my mind

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1066278

I have seen some responses on here by you that I just could not ignore. Frankly, I am not sure how you justify the sell price of $75,500 when:
  • I could get this very exact car for for $71,700 or less with incentives (see breakup below)
  • It will be a brand new car vs a used one you are selling
  • If I had to pay your asking price of $75,500, that would leave me $3,800 to spend on the trip to Europe to get the car
  • $3,800 gets me a return flight ($1,000) and an easy 10 days of stay in Europe ($250/day) and still have $300 left over for souvenirs.
  • If i trade in my current car I can save a few thousand on taxes vs nothing on yours. That's even more money towards the eurotrip
  • I would be selling a two owner car vs a single owner which affects sale price
  • Used car loan rates are much higher than for new cars

Given the above you are not only trying to recover the cost for your ED trip but also for the Sales tax, dealer fees, etc. Why in my right mind would I or any buyer buy your used car for $75,500 and pay sales tax twice??. Why????? WHY??????????????

Lets not forget that you also lose 4 years of maintenance because it does not transfer to new owner. This only diminishes the value of a new car even more.

Hey, I'm offended, I'm on the Porsche forum too and I didn't over pay for mine. . But this thread is just hilarious.

If this were a lease deal (and a fair one), I'd be reaching out. This is exactly how I'd prefer to find an M3 to takeover the lease.
