Ultimate European Delivery - F83 YMB M4

Ultimate European Delivery - 2016 F83 YMB M4
Name: img_8784.jpg

Folks, finally it happened, I am still trying to get over the amazing experience I had in Europe.

Statistics :

1668 kms in 5 days covering Germany, France & Switzerland.

Cities Covered : Giessen —> Nurburgring —> Frankfurt —> Stratsbourg —> Zurich —> Swiss Alps —> Zurich —> Car Wash in Zurich —> Dropped of at Gondrad, Zurich.

- Arrived in Munich on 08/20/2015 and was picked up by Sixt in X5
- After dropping off bags, Immediately went to BMW Welt and went through the cars and shopping as I would be leaving immediately after Pickup next day
- Picked up in Munich 0n 08/21/2015. Amazing experience, crowd was just looking at the car when I first started the car and had couple of victory laps.
- Headed to Geissen, met my friend and stayed overnight there
- Next day to Nurburgring, I was greeted with an ongoing race, which was real fun to watch
- Had a track day at Nurburgring
- Drove in Frankfurt next day and dropped off the friend
- Headed to Strasbourg, covered the city and some historical sites
- Next day, drove to Zurich, Switzerland. Spent some time in the city
- Next day, drove to Swiss Alps - what a beautiful place to drive. Beautiful all around. I think this is the best time to visit.
- Later in the evening, car washed and prepped up for next day morning drop off
- Next day, dropped off at Gondrad and straight to airport

NOW THE WAIT CONTINUES FOR THE CAR TO ARRIVE.

** There are hardcore fans in Europe, who would do anything to take pictures of the car.
** Hundreds of pictures were taken by people on the road and especially at Nurburgring. For a minute, I was celebrity.
** Honks all around and traffic jams, people would love to stare and appreciate the vehicle everywhere.

Suggestions:

** Pickup your Buscher Stop Clock in Munich only. I tried to pick up in Zurich and they were not even aware of.
** REQUEST: If anyone is picking up their clock in Munich, I can send my Voucher to you. Appreciate if anyone can pickup for me. I would be happy to send shipping costs after coming back to US.
** Make sure you pickup HK Bluetooth audio system and Shopping voucher for 10 Euros during ED Pickup at Welt.

Jealous. How did the track day go at the 'ring? Was it part of a package, or did you take your spanking new F83 out there?

Track went well, I wasn't focusing on beating any timing. I had a very relaxed drive without taking any risks :-)

I just bought one lap not part of any package.

Smadhu:

Long time looker first time poster.

Saw your great pictures and notice in your 2nd pictures that is Christoph Blumel, your delivery specicalist, which was mind as well when I pick the car on 8/11. Christoph was great and he told me around 90% of the deliveries to the Weltz are European, mainly Germans and the other 10% are American doing ED. At the time of my ED they had around 70 deliveries but sometimes can go up to 100 to 120 per day.

I had ask Christoph the largest BMW Dealer in Munich which he said was Nidederlassung Munchen and I wanted to check out their cars and showroom in Munich. The dealership had a fully loaded AW with Black Interior M4 Vert with CCB for 103,954 Euros(approx. $116,247) which everyone was looking at and the only M car at the dealership at the time. I guess this confirms at least to me, that the locals pay quite a bit more for their BMW's at home then people in the United States.

Congrats on your new car and color combo.

Thanks. Christoph was great and there were quite a few deliveries when I was there. But, mine was center of attraction :-) We are the luckiest ones to get cars for that rate in the world and I love it. Hope you are having good time with your car.

Thanks!! YMB looks awesome in person and I loved it. It looked unique in the crowd and people took lots of pictures on the road. Especially I got feedback from people at Nurburgring and some folks took pictures who contract with magazines. Good Luck to you. I would suggest try visiting a dealer who has that color to see in person. Let me know if you need any other information.
