Optimal Boost By Gear Settings By Mods
Hi Folks,
I can say I was most excited for the boost by gear on Bootmod3 since I hated explaining to people "Sorry it's faster but traction kicked in" and having them be blown away by 3rd gear. Since traction mods are making the most difference on the drag strip, I have a feeling that we're going to want to keep track of what settings people have to optimize traction since there will be 100s of posts just like the burble options from people saying "What settings should I do if...." I'll update this post as we get more feedback from members and tuners on recommended boost by gear settings based on 6MT/DCT, mods, tires, ambient temps. This should save members from having to flash multiple times to dial in the right settings and saving the PTF team from having 100s of more tickets from drained batteries. |

Boost/gear settings are going to vary by tire type, temperature, suspension set up, HP/TQ level, surface materials, etc. Would be good to take these factors into account when analyzing data.

Flatten your torque curves!!!!!
-comfort mode -r888rs or honestly I am probably sticking with MT ET SS -lower RPMs on launch control if going from a dig -euro MDM coding or TC fully off -hold power to redline, longer gears more hp less torque more mph more speed less wheel spin -40rolls slightly ease into throttle if you need to on hit After all that, log and work with your tuner... Cary helps me on this etc |

if they dont take some or all of those steps they will not be happy with the speed/times they are looking for (due to over-reducing the boost) from the mods they already did..

-comfort mode -lower RPMs on launch control if going from a dig -40rolls slightly ease into throttle if you need to on hit Trial and error can easily show new F8x owners why this makes a difference without getting technical. I already saw the difference from them when I have tried on a stock car especially with the sport + pedal. With DCT I feel that riding to redline is the easiest way to give up power. The roll off on stock turbos stop making more power at 6k. Short shifting gets the turbos back into their optimal RPMs and the DCT helps keep you in boost. You can feel the difference in doing so in DCTs because the punch to your face when the torque comes back in way more prominent. Remember: Power = (TorquexRPM)/5250. The faster you are is based on the integral of how much power you can keep during the whole run. If you're power is rolling off at a point where your power can instead keep increasing, you are summing a negative factor to your overall race. |

Stage 1 on Pilot 4S 285/30/20 rears. 30% 1st and 20% 2nd seems to work well, might drop it down to 20/10 since these 4S tires hook so well.

depends entirely on your HP curve, for my curve/tune, thanks to linear (Respectively) torque curve, i can shift 7000+ 7200 probably optimal. My advice is to tune the car this way, i leave people when they upshift and i dont
