I got 3% off when I placed my order in April. If there are ones sitting on floor rooms, I would expect the prices to come down.

Interesting. Just to be clear, that $85k was after you received your discount?

I'm trying to justify a GTS to myself but right now I'm seeing close to a $20k difference in price between an M4 optioned the way I want it and a GTS. I also won't be paying any sales tax on my M4 and getting a military discount.

So here are the main specs on my cayman gts

Rhodium silver
Gts interior package
Pdk
X73 sport suspension
18 way adaptive seats
Premium package
Bose/nav
Power steering plus

I'm really happy I went with Pdk. Luckily I went to another dealership that took me on an amazing route to really test out the car, I was sold on the car from that moment. Unbelievable steering, brakes, throttle response, and best of all engine sound. Best car I've owned, better than my gt3 minus the power deficit.

Yes that's the only thing that needs to be done IMO.

Nice. It's a great car, albeit pricey.

The car looks low with that sport suspension. Not sure I'd be comfortable with the lack of ground clearance, especially with that long front overhang...

Ground clearance is fine, however the ride is quite stiff might need getting used to for some. As far as price is concerned, you may be right to a certain extent as the cost with some options can climb to 6 digits. I for one think it's worth every penny for the type of driving experience this car provides.

I have the standard PASM and ground clearance hasn’t been a problem once, hoping the sports suspension (SS) is the same.

Did my first track day with the GTS today and it was amazing. Ran at Blackhawk farms. Only the 3rd track day I have ran. My other two were with my 2011 335is.

The car was amazing. Acceleration was adequate from the standpoint that my last two cars had 550+hp. Dont get me wrong, the car's incredibly quick, but i noticed i topped out at 110mph in the GTS were I would hit 110 in the IS halfway down the straight.

Braking was shocking. I never had the nerve to hit a braking zone where I needed all the brakes. I was hitting 1.25gs and still had peddle left if I needed it and I was honestly getting light headed each time with the sustained Gs.

The car didnt understeer a single time. Any time I thought I came into a corner too hot or too wide, I could still hit the apex by adding more turn in and I was able to fix any bad entry by mid turn. The midengine set up is truly amazing. If you push the car hard enough to have the back end step out, it does in slow motion. For those that have hooned in the snow, its very similar, the back drifts out but in slow motion with literal full seconds to recover.

My lap time in the 335is was 1:34 and I was hoping to get that under 1:30. I was able to hit 1:24 with a clear track in the GTS. I am so happy with the improvement. The car literally makes you a better driver. Its so forgiving and gives me a platform that will take years to reach its limits.

Nice, I am looking forward to the Porsche experience center opening up in Carson ca. I can't wait to give my GTS a good run on track.

Does your car have PTV?

I have PTV and my car feels loose at the back. It really over-rotates in long fast corners. Much more so than my last gen Cayman.

Anyone else found this? Not sure if this car has PTV, but seems to exhibit the same behaviour:

Great to know that you have objective evidence of significant lap time improvements in addition to the increased confidence level and emotional feeling it gave you. I don't need back seats and have been thinking of moving back to a more dedicated sports car (had a 981S prior to the E92M). The GTS has my attention and there's one for sale locally in blue. Such a beautiful car.

No pvt. It's not going to the track often and honestly, my limited experience says it's not needed to hustle the car. For a small stint I was able to hang with an instructor in his track prepped 996tt. I was surprised that he didn't walk away from me as those guys can seriously drive.
