Launch Control not working

Ok i know this has been asked and i have searched the threads..
But the other people that have posted about the Launch control not working after the 1200 mile service have never posted if they had a fix or what the fix was.

so my question is did anyone have a problem with LC after the 1200 mile service and if so what was done??

Make sure the car is warm and you drove at least 6 miles.
Also, you need to rest the car between launches or else it gets de-activated.

Yes I know all of that..the problem is that it will not activate at all.
Going back to dealer tomorrow and get tech help on the phone..I just
Know some members have posted they had problems but never said if it
Was corrected or what was done

Can you share the steps you're taking and what's happening to think it's not working? More detail would help.

make sure you have all the settings correct, then you have to floor it really quick all the way to the kick down.

So traction totally off(not in MDMA mode) shifter 3rd setting manual mode
Car is at operating temp. Foot on break gas to floor pass kickdown.
No flag displayed or launch control.

I have done launch control on another m3.

Off topic. I saw your playtime with the tuned c63 in Mexico. It would be interesting to see the outcome when you play him next time with a tuned M3.

Yes it will be different..haha..his car was faster..but really not by much.
He has like 630hp..and almost 700ftlb of torque. So I think the CS did very well.
Around a track hands down the CS would have the win..t

Throw on a JB4 to smoke him and shut up all the bmw hater comments. I only say JB4 since you don't want to void your warranty by doing a full flash tune lol

I have talked to the guys about the JB4..it will work with the CS..I will most likely do that new spring..I would most likely beat him with just a new exhaust 😉

Do you have an engine, suspension if applicable and steering all in Sport Plus?

By default, screen under the rpm gauge shows Efficient Dynamics so these settings are easily missed if not enabled.

I took my vehicle at 1100 miles for the break in service and no launch control i literally had to go over 1200 to be able to use it. When I do it there is times I need to try couple times in order to get into launch control mode.

Not to thread jack, but I wouldn’t be too confident about BMW not detecting the JB4 for warranty concerns.

so the official word from BMW was wait till 1250 miles if it does not work then they will send some one from BMW to look at the car

It’s always been finicky due to a bit of an overly complex way of getting it to work. I’m not saying this is what is happening to you guys, but based my past experiences it is very easy to forget something and thus it doesn’t work. Get out and drive it for awhile and make sure it is fully warmed up. Then make triple sure you are in the right configuration for it to work.

Also, techs have forgotten to “turn it on” during the break in service, which also makes hard to pinpoint why it isn’t working for some people.

It’s fun, but after you do it a couple of times most barely ever use it again as it is really just kind of a novelty. I now have a 6mt and no LC, but I don’t miss it a bit.

Worst thing is if you do get it to work if gives neither a launch or control.

BMW LC has to be the worst LC out there.

Update...well the car hit 1247miles..and the Launch Control started working..😁😁😁😁 it is a beast
