I also noticed how the comparison pics were not equal . One cannot draw an accurate "comparison" from those side by side shots.
Either way, I like what I've seen and would gladly upgrade to the F80 😆👠|

Why does the new DCT double the weight gain of the old DCT?
so a F80 M3 is only 144 pounds lighter than a E90, 4%, the M4 numbers look more impressive for weight loss. Sad since I want to get the new M3 Sedan, now I have to hit the gym and lose 40 more pounds |

A lot of people said the same thing about the F30 making the LCI E90 look dated based on those pictorial comparisons, in real life that is not the case.

Love the new M3. I approve. E90 never hit me with WOW factor as E46M did back in 2000. Now the F80 has that WOW factor.

i like the E90 interior more. the layout i like more. but the F80 has more things going on it interior wise. if they keep the same layout with the F80 update i would like that more.
i think that new euro front bumper law hurts the looks of the F80. i am not saying the E90 looks better. i am saying the F80 could have looked better. idk i feel the bottom part of the bumper doesn't come down enough. also that flap thing on the bumper is awful. i am not trying to sit here and say the E90 is better. just pointing out a few things. |

They're plenty 'equal'. For each photo comparison, I overlay the cars on top of each other to accurately account for their actual physical size differences.

Maybe it's just me. But I think a Monte Carlo Blue ZCP e90 should have been used for the comparison.

I think this is a bit of "loser's game" that we keep on comparing ourselves with our own cars and get high about it when at the same time, competition is getting better and better and bypassing us in several segments...my 2 cents...

I love the E90. Having said that, I love everything about the F80 better.
To me, it looks better inside, outside, and under the hood. It's lighter, it's quicker, and has much more torque which will make it nicer to drive overall. Finally, it will be much more efficient which at this point in my life is very important. Buying it will be the challenge, but based on how much I love my F30, I believe reaching up to an F80 or F82 will be well worth it. |

Front end on the E90 is so much cleaner and aesthetically pleasing than the F80. The lines on the F80's front end don't make sense. The line across the hood is atrocious. It complements nothing. The other lines on top of the hood are too busy. I think it would be much better with just one, as on the E90. They don't have purposeful placement or direction. There are just too many elements competing with each other IMO. The way the headlights smile is hideous. It is distasteful anthropomorphism. It implies a playful, whimsical expression while the rest of the car is aggressive, modern and business-like. Also, the air intakes look like labia.
The rest of the F80 is beautiful though. It's interior is exponentially better, but I'm not sure about the chrome accents on the steering wheel. I feel like the actual design should be tweaked a little as well. It has subtle vintage aspects that don't match up with the updated interior. Maybe the spokes/shafts that connect the hub of it to the wheel need to be a bit thicker closer to the hub so that there's more of a taper towards the wheel? With that said, I haven't actually seen the F80 M3 in person yet - only the F80 3-series.

Even as an E92 and previous E90 owner, I think it looks seriously dated next to the F80. In fact, as much as I love my car, I think the mirrors and maaaybe the seats are the only things I like better on the E90.

E90 looks like a sleeper... Clean and simple, people wouldn't guess it has a 414hp V8.
New model looks the part - aggressive and bold. Better looking car in the comparison but my heart will always have a place for the E90's clean lines.

Pics should have shown E90 19" wheels or F80 18". But no matter, I like the classier look of the E90. F80 is a bit of a brute, but it still looks great.

It's nitpicking, but there are differences between the coupe and sedan interior. Off the top of my head, the coupe has ambient lighting and the design of the center stack is slightly different.
