What are the best spring rates for mostly street with 1 or 2 track days?
How much does it lower front and rear? Have mperf lip and don't want to scrape. So 15 mm lower up front would be ideal. |

I just installed a set of R/T's in my M4 convertible. I ended up with the M2 rear springs. Ride height is almost the same as before about a 5mm drop, but that was intentional as I have enough problems getting into my driveway. The stock setup in the Ohlins docs was just about perfect, I only had to readjust the drivers side front by about 5mm to get it the way I wanted it.
Stock was with EDC, so I ended up installing a set of the Ohlins EDC eliminators as well. Install took about 6 hours, but that was due to some other issues as well as swapping out the brake pads at the same time. I am set at 10 clicks from full close and overall I like the ride and handling. I am still on winter tires Michelin Alpin PA4 245/40-18's in square setup, so I won't be able to say how they feel with my summer tires, PSS in stock size. I am glad I made the switch, now time to put on some miles. Last edited by hilld; 01-03-2019 at 10:07 AM.. |

Its actually more than that. My track tires- 275 RS4 previously cleared the stock suspension no problem. They needed at least 6mm to rotate freely, so probably 9mm to allow for deflection. You'll probably end up with a 12mm spacer, but turner makes a 7.5 and 10 that might work for you. I think It'll be hard to get wider tires than 275 on the front without first fitting shorter springs to raise the perches. If you want to run 10.5 square it will be challenging. Good news is the stock perch is pretty much as long as it can be adjusted so a shorter spring should be do able.
