If you locked into the .9% in March, are you also locked into the lease credit (assuming you decided to lease vs. buy) they were giving for March automatically?

I believe you have to be/have been a BMWFS customer within the previous 12 months to qualify.

So better to keep the lease credit at 61 (sale-67500msrp-75)%. Or lease at 64% (sale-69k,msrp-75k)

Doing the quick math - the 3% increase in residual is taking $2250 off the amount you're financing via your lease. Unless your lease credit is more than that (which I'm sure it's not - $1500 looking at your numbers?) you're better off with the higher residual I think.

Incredible residuals (good as in high). I believe the rates were also solid last March and April. Forget year end, this might be the time to buy if you're leasing.

Last year the residuals where this high until Sept. If that hold true to this year, it looks like we can order 2017 ones with good residuals. We can order them when?, June, July? Something like that?

FWIW

2015 M3 Residuals, I believe M4 was 1% lower

April 2015

15k 62%
12k 64%
10k 65%

May 2015

15k 62%
12k 64%
10k 65%

June 2015 ( I think)

15k 62%
12k 64%
10k 65%

July 2015

15k 62%
12k 64%
10k 65%

August 2015

15k 61%
12k 63%
10k 64%

September 2015

15k 60%
12k 62%
10k 63%

The only other issue could be that you can't negotiate a good deal on a new 2017. I remember that being the issue last year for the 2016s.

I also recall residuals being 59% for 15k, not 61% like now.

True. this is where a good relationship with CA hopefully helps, lol.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't there different residuals for each model year? As in, yes those high residuals were still around in September of last year but you could only use them on remaining 2015 models.

Correct those residuals were for 2015 models; NOT for 2016s

In that case, I apologize. I'll see if I can find what the 2016 residuals where in those months......

By August 2015, there was a 2% difference between buying a 2015 and 2016. But if you had the chance to buy a 2015 a couple of months earlier the residual difference was even greater (3%). Between the anticipated residual difference, any incentives (loyalty for instance), and the better maintenance, you're better off getting the current model year in the spring/summer before production stops. On a buy, you could argue that you gain value by getting a 1 year newer car, but on a lease it doesn't really matter. Just get the best deal.

I got an ED pick up date for May 10, and i'm going to sign the papers later this month (going to Germany 3 weeks ahead). Anyway I can get the $1000 credit added on?

Right now, I have 1500 lease credit + 60% residual. Going to 63 is a no brainer, but wish I could keep the $1000 incentive..

I agree, however I cant get an allocation from my dealer/CA. She said they were all done with 2016 Allocations. I would go to a different dealer but they were incredibly helpful when I had to cancel an ordered car while enroute to the dealership so I have no problem waiting a little longer, just kind of shitty that the residuals for a brand new model year will be lower than an older model year, lol. Good news is Ill be the first one to order a 2017 from them
