I think the new headlights look great! My car is a 2017 MY F80 ZCP (October 2016 build) and I definitely didn't see this coming, caught me by surprise. However, I don't mind the "old" stuff in my car; I like the silver M badging in the seats and the standard halos.
I do like the black 666, would look good on my Mineral White I suppose, but I love the machined finish on them since it highlights the design much better. Will be cool to see some of these in person, although the "suddenness" of the changes (for the F80, albeit small) is kinda weird lol. |

This is the LAZIEST LCI update. Why doesn't BMW just sell you a lights and black plastidip kit?
E46 M3 (LCI before we called it LCI) and E92 M3 LCI were also lazy, but c'mon. |

Its the exact same color but made somewhere different. I have parked my 16 SO right next to a new SOII and they are the same.
I agree with others new healights are worse. Not bad just not better. The only thing that grinds my gears is the black zcp wheel option. Shoulda had that from the start. Im buying new wheels for my car not because I dont like the 666 but because I think SO looks better with dark wheels. |

NO, Europe doesn't have model year structure like the NA market. So your current build will be a 2017 and the updated M3/M4 will be 2018s that will be arriving in July of 2017. The NA M3/M4 are going out of production for a few months with deliveries of the 2018s starting in July of 2017. Why this is no know for certain as this is only effecting the NA or its known to only effect the NA market. Whatever you have will be a 2017 and outdated. If you want the up to date M4, cancel your current order and wait till the order banks reopen and then get a new allocation for a June/July build. |

These should be in production and at dealership by July of 2017, it could be sooner but I would think July of 2017 is a safe bet. Which you will have options to build it in June I would think at the latest.

I paid my deposit for an M4 ZCP couple of Saturdays ago, build slot isn't until February with a mid March delivery so arguably I'm still in a position to cancel the order and wait for the LCI.
The only thing holding me back is here in the UK, our Road Tax laws change on April 1st. Cars registered after this date are subject to different taxes - for the term of my ownership I would be about £1240 ($1530 US) worse off than taking the car pre-April. Not a huge amount in the grand scheme but if you consider that money could instead go towards Carbon Fibre goodies, lowering, Spacers etc. Not to mention the potential price increase of an LCI model over the current (Can anyone see BMW freezing the base price for the new model or setting it lower?? Thought not!) My dealership have advised the LCI's in Europe go into production in March so could a new build be delivered and registered within a 4 week period? (Assuming my dealership already have a slot reserved and LCI's go into production on the first day of March) So in summary, are a set of LED lights really that big a deal to justify an increase in annual running costs as well as an (assumed) increase on the base model price? |

Remember, this is just an LED display with software determining what gets shown. M vehicles will have their own version of it just as they have their own M specific features in the gauge cluster area such as the M Driving Dynamics status in today's M products which displays the current engine, steering and suspension settings. It is likely that, in future generations, all BMWs will use a fully digital display for the gauge cluster. |

This is one stunning car... Simply love it - and the digital cluster looks like it's close to the one from the 5-series - Beautiful!

Now, to make things a bit more complicated, the press material mentions that the M3/M4 specifically will now get the adaptive lighting standard. So, in any market where the pre-LCI LED (which only come in adaptive form) were not standard before, a price increase is a sure bet. However, even though the language used in the press material appears to imply the M3/M4 will get adaptive lights in all markets, without market-specific announcements such as for the US, I would not necessarily assume this will be the case. Of course, in regions where the adaptive LED were already standard, the price may be unaffected. It depends on whether other equipment is made standard for March in a specific market as well. |

As discussed earlier in the thread (which you can search using the search feature, BTW), it is the same color available today: Sakhir Orange (called Sakhir Orange II as of a year or so ago due to a change in the paint supplier).

My understanding is that M cars do not get digital instrument clusters and only get analog instrument clusters. I vastly prefer the analog cluster in the M4 versus the one coming to the 4 series (which is identical to the one in my x6).

Anyone know what "8EB Single Control Approval" is? Is that something like aircraft where they can be certified for single pilot ops - you don't require a navigator in the passenger seat?
