Simple. It will be the rarest cars that have been well taken care of and not modded. All you have to do is look at the prices commanded by cars such as the E30 Evo or the E46 CSL. So the top three in order will be:
1. M4 DTM Champion Edition (only available in Europe) 2. M4 GTS 3. M3 CS

Initially I planned on picking the F80 Comp 6MT but based on how I've seen the following factors pan out I've had a change of heart:
1) 2-Door vs. 4-Door 2) Link to Motorsport 3) Rare features 4) Serviceability Currently, in the US atleast, the F80 is king of the F8X's but historically 2-door cars have done better than the 4-door variants. Obviously, this is prospective as it would be happening in the future but "past is prelude" as they say. In addition, the F8X coupes have a more direct link to Motorsports as the huge majority of teams/series use the F82/F87. Rare features seem to drive the prices and in the case of the F8X that appears to be CCB. Lastly, with respect to serviceability I believe this factor favors the manual transmission. It obviously requires some balancing because one factor affects the others in almost every instance… for example, DCT is clearly more closely linked to Motorsports of this era versus the Manual transmission which is more serviceable. Likewise, CCB's can pose a serviceability issue but the most expensive examples will have low mileage so I see this as a smaller matter than for a daily driven car. Ultimately, I'd have to go with: 1) M2CS/6MT/CCB as the most valuable F8X overall 2) M4 Heritage/6MT/CCB as the most valuable F80/2 3) M4 GTS

Limited edition BMWs will go up in price, not down. Chinese collectors are entering the market and love vintage BMWs. Last edited by jpdchicago; 01-16-2022 at 05:05 PM.. |

M3 ZCP 6MT and M3CS because M3 is icon to BMW like 911 to Porsche
