How would a modded M4 do vs a Hellcat?

I know my stock car won't stand a chance.
I am planning on getting the VF Hex stage 2, Akra DP, Akra full exhaust.

I know it is up to drivers obviously, but how would I do against a Charger Hellcat?

Stoplight race. Actual highway run.

By the way, that car sounds mean as hell and really, really loud.

Straight run? Muscles win. But take the Hellcat to do a Lap around a track and it's a whole different ballgame.

I'm going in for a Dinan Stage 2 can't wait!

Here you go. But with a modified Hellcat. Note however that they started the race at like 60 MPH. There's another video around somewhere that shows a Hellcat drag racing a few performance cars from a dig and it didn't do well at all. But if you design a race for the hellcat (not from a dig, straight line) then yeah, 700+ ponies can't be beat.

The Challenger will run 1/4 in (depending on which magazine you read) 11.7 on stock street tires. Drag slicks, will be much faster at the track. Most guys will opt for Nitto NT05s or such on the street. You'll have to aim for mid-11s to be competitive, low-11s to win - but wait, there's more: there's tuning & mods for the Hellcat too.

http://www.hotrod.com/features/1511-...odges-hellcat/

So maybe you'll need to aim for high-10s in the 1/4 to be safe.

This is a sub-10 sec Hellcat Charger with just bolt-ons and a tune.
Metco upper pulley (18psi)
ATI Lower Pulley
Catless mid-pipes
3.09 Rear gear swap
Driveshaft Shop driveshaft
Diablosport CMR tune by HHP and HEMITUNER Performance
902hp/866tq

I personal know HEMITUNER and while he will never admit it publicly, he worked on the development of the Hellcat (engine tune). His CMR tuning is legendary in the MOPAR world. I ran one on my SRT8 Grand Cherokee - 93 octane, ran 4.3 sec 0-60.

With enough $$ anything can be beat IMO. 0-60 Hellcat Challenger on street tires is 3.5 seconds - can you get your M to that? I bet you can.

Good luck.

Hellcat vs Huracan

Did the Huracan use launch control in this video (I presume it has launch control)? AWD cars are notoriously inconsistent to launch properly.

Hellcat has tiny, terrible tires. So from a stop, you will have it. DCT M4 vs manual Hellcat will be made of pure lol.

Just wait for the Hellcat Grand Cherokee... 4wd and Auto gearbox will make it a monster at all speeds.

I read somewhere the 0-60 claim on the trackhawk (probable name for Hellcat Jeep) is 3.5 seconds. That's bat shot crazy for a 4900lbs vehicle.

I ran a stock hellcat from 60mph+. He was auto and stock, I was running 6MT JB4 map 2/dp. Both on 93. He started pulling hard around 100 and had multiple cars by 140...

Just look at what the 550hp class of SUV can do. Cayenne Turbo, X5M, and Supercharged V8 Range Rovers. Now add 150hp.

yah, its going to be all kinds of wrong. Be interesting if they get more than a 275 wide tire under it, as I'd assume they'd try to match the bigger tires of the Euro SUVs if they can.

I think that will depend on the rim width mostly. The 2016 is a 20x10 with 295/45-20 tires. Wonder how big they can go...

For reference, 2016 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, 295/35-21. The bmw x5m, 325/35-20 rears

I didn't except it to be a close race, but it sounds like, at least from a roll it'll be a pretty obvious win for the Hellcat even with bolt ons. I might give it a try just for fun anyway once my car is modded.

Thank you for all the replies!

no replacement for displacement.

These cars are not even in the same league!
The M3/4 needs A crack pipe and a prayer to stay in line with a hellcat, or Upgraded turbos.

I think its dependent on how the car is tuned, a FBO s55 with an aggressive tune should be able to take on a Hellcat (stock) with no issues. I've done it in an upgraded n55. An s55 with upgraded snails would be a no contest.

My car was FBO STG 2 turbo + PI.

Beating a Hellcat in 1/2 race.

Losing to the BMS M4 ~30 sec mark.

The example of the BMS race is to give you an idea of how fast an aggressively tuned non upgraded turbo s55 can be.

go on youtube and search M4 VS Hellcat and watch a brand new hellcat get ABUSED on the highway courtesy of my boy, off the line yeah they are super fast but they don't grip that well. neither do we though. BUT on the highway that power is trash until 5000+RPM and over 100MPH is when it just STARTS to open up (Hellcat that is). there is a good chance you will take him.

btw the m4 is stock. LOL
