cleaning out front grille?

this is probably a stupid question

i have some debris in the front grille area

using a leaf blower and a pressure washer has not worked in dislodging the debris

anything else i can try that does not require front lip disassembly?

thanks!

There is a ton of content on this topic. The search function doesn't always work well but you'll eventually find what you need.

You get those extension picker things and pick them through the grille area one by one. Or just live with it.

Easiest and simple is to remove the bumper. But you don't want to go this route.

Just search for 'leaves' and you will find a few, don't recommend removing the bumper for this.

Drop the plastic cover over the oil cooler then, drop the oil cooler to be thorough.
OR, be like me and use a pressure washer and sweep side to side.
(Leaves break apart and fly out)

What brand of leaf blower do you use? After I pressure washed, my Ego 650 got rid of 90% of the debris.

thanks for the advice everyone

i just got an ego too and the blower hole fits almost perfectly in that radiator space

same thing, was able to blow out 90% of it with the ego

there is one cigarette butt in there that drives me insane so i have an order for a shop vac attachment to see if i can suction that thing out

will update everyone on how it works

thanks!

super helpful links too, if anyone is wondering the search function works a lot better on the app than it does a browser page !

Lol some debris? That's super clean, this is what I'm dealing with after every season. In first year of ownership, garage would stink like a dead horse when it would get colder outside and car was parked after washing or driving in the rain.

Dropping oil cooler works the best and easiest. Cleaning side coolers is easy as well. Remove front portion of wheel well liner and couple bolts holding each one. No need to disconnect hoses, just tilt radiators back enough. Garden hose and high volume low pressure water is the key, flushing it from the back. High pressure on any radiator fins is a big no no.

Dang man, looks like your car brings about mass extinction events. I also threw up in my mouth.

No, living in Canadian prairies, not many trees around, just big flat fields and every year more grasshoppers on the roads. Driving little faster and whole car gets covered quickly, even brake rotors and rims

Too bad I don't have pet turtle, I'm sure it would enjoy this.

Holy hell man!😳 I'd say you take on some insects. I have never cleaned mine out and may have to after seeing this.

Do you need to remove the bumper to remove that plastic shield before getting to the oil cooler?
