Wow! Thats so disappointing. I ordered the vrsf intakes and the screws didn’t line up with the holes for the MAF sensor, so now I have to send the piping back. I might just return the whole unit.

RK, MSR and VSRF all use aluminum tubing so im confused how the VSRF can sound so much lesser than the other two popular brands. |

After that you're either paying for a nice design with fancy colors or big branding names over the piping (((M Tax and finish))) - SSR Intakes have a nice finish to them. They come with Blitz cone filters which produce that swoosh. - VRSF intakes are not as nice looking, also the finish of the coating is not that great. Pealing here and there. I'm kinda disliking the intakes due to this reason, again, I cannot complain as the price is cheap. I'm not that kind of asshole that pays bottom price and expects perfection. |

Mlaud, why did you switch from BMS intake to VRSF if BMS kit sounds better? Couldn't imagine there's much of a difference performance wise?

Agreed. After I took off the filters that came with the VSRF, they were smushed a bit from the grill. BMS are smaller and actually fit perfect. Excited for tomorrow and see how they sound.

Any new intake ordered is going to ship with the exact same filter as the BMS. We both use S&B filters. These will make just as much power as any other front facing intake.

I'm seriously considering this product. Do you have any dyno charts showing power gains with the front mount intake?

And in some cases, lose power.

I basically just want to be convinced that there is a reasonable amount of power gain by installing this part. Because if anything, having a front facing air intake would increase the likelihood of an engine hydrolock during rainy season. |

Get a set of BMC filters and remove the charcoal filters and see if you like that change in sound. It does increase the tone from the engine bay a little but it's not mind blowing! |
