My commute is OC to North County SD. So I've only seen them on I-5, but they tend to drive pretty aggressively. Agreed, about 50% are turtles but the rest are lunatics. I've even had one pass me on the shoulder of I-5...
I’ve never had one pass me on the shoulder, but I’ve seen plenty of pimped Priuii cut people off, weave, and take those skinny tires to the limit. Personally, if I was looking to get an entry level car that I planned to drive hard, I’d get a Miata or a Focus or something like that, with a well balanced chassis and a good rep on the track. I just don’t get it.

The Prius is not as bad as many here seem to think. I leased a Prius for 3 years for commuting/work.

For sure it is not a driver's car, nor a sexy car (although there are plenty of other cars that are harder on the eyes).

But it's a great tool - sufficiently comfortable, quiet, under the radar, and fairly low cost. I also got great fuel economy (SF to OC on a single tank of gas is awesome).

I wasn't going to defend the Prius, but felt I had to due to all the negative posts.

So true - and this is why I'm going from an M4 YMB, to a M3 Tanzanite! People ALWAYS drive around me like idiots or give me asshole stares when I'm driving the speed limit or under. People clearly think I should only drive the car like I stole it.

Hopefully the F80 M3 in Tanzanite will help me blend in a bit more - I had to get the YMB as it was my first M car and said I gotta at least get one of the "flashier" M3/M4 specific colors. Now I just want to blend in to the rest of the BMWs in the bay area....
