Painted climate control/radio trim Sakhir Orange

Trying to do some small details to the interior as I get close to being done modding. Likely going to do the trim around headlight switch next, and maybe the glove box handle.

And in case anyone wondering how to diy this one, its not too bad.
You pop the large center dash/vent trim straight out using just your fingers
Remove 4 T20 screws at each corner of the trim
Unplug 1 wiring harness connection
Remove Climate control and radio from trim with flat blade screwdriver
Here is the tricky part:
The outer matte black trim is plastic welded to the inner gloss trim, and requires breaking the 6 welds from behind the trim. My tools of choice were a soldering iron with a flat edged attachment to melt the welds and 2 plastic pry tools. If you decide to tackle this let me know, and I will show in greater detail.

I actually have a spare I am planning another project with. Maybe I make it available for someone else interested in this mod.

Do you mind attaching a photo from the perspective of standing outside the car, door open?

I'm guessing your peasant self has never been inside a newer Porsche, who paint many interior parts to match exterior paint.
Youre entitled to your opinion
Cheers mate

You're right. I am entitled to my opinion & to express it on an open forum.
Just because you don't like it, so choose to make insulting comments instead, just makes you look like a c**t.

Looks good - have a Sakhir Orange car/interior as well. Love the color.

I looked at YAS/Sakhir when figuring out if I wanted to swap the RS3 for the M3. It surprisingly worked, but the car was highly modified and out of the price range. Drove 4 hours to grab this one.
