Does any have the M logo piece that lights up on the seat for sale that's not cracked?

Yes. I had them look at it, they assessed and agreed they were defective. Free exchange under warranty.

I'm going through that process right now, they told be to bring it in this Thursday so they can take pics of it and assess it.

I would be shocked if they do not approve...it's a known defect and BMW is aware.

OP - go to the dealer.

Can someone post a pic of some that are cracked?

Mine look like they have hairline cracks in them... but they aren't like, broken.

I don't have a pic but that's exactly the issue, hairline cracks.

Are they supposed to look like they do in the picture? The ones on my seats are all silver. I didn't buy the car new so I'm not sure exactly what is or is no normal.

Sure, here's mine. Seats have less than 6 months of them before pulling (swapped to Sparco SPXs) and setting into climate-controlled storage.

Severe cracking on both seat badges, much worse in person than in photos.

That's exactly what mine looks like!

My car is still under the factory warranty... will they fix this? I feel like they will tell me to kick rocks. My steering wheel is cracked as well. :-/

Here are mine both sides passenger and driver seats, passenger seat is the one that is lit up.

I just spoke to the SA he is going to send his report to BMW but one problem if they replace it they would have to replace the seat covers not just the lights and of course there is a catch the new cover fits bigger then the old one so it won't be as tight as the original.

So did they change the your covers as well?

Tell them that's B/S. They don't replace the seat covers. Just the lights

My SA confirmed they'd replace them when I service my car next. My seats are sahkir leather.

The logos pop out and new ones pop in.
