Upgrading NBT to NBT Evo

hello! recently got a 2015 F80. due to the fact it's a 2015, I have the ID4 NBT system, looks like people swap to the NBT EVO to run ID5/ID6. thought about running MMI but I wasn't a huge fan.

been searching around on here to see what people do, and I was thinking about buying the headunit/display off eBay (found a listing) and having someone code it to my vin. any recommendations as to whom I should contact for that service? thought about a couple of the retrofit services which are all-in-one, but figured I'd ask first. thanks!

We can solve it to you once you have fitted it, done plenty already. Also many recommendations here

Hit up Kubax for your coding. He did mine a few months ago, 2015 car, swapped in an ID6 unit with touch screen, full screen CarPlay, etc. Feel free to PM me if you need any pointers on the process, there was a bit of a learning curve and some caveats since we have pre-LCI cars.

Completely agree as to kubax86 — he’s the coding guru. I changed out my NBTevo 4 for a complete NBTevo 6 system (head unit, touchscreen and controller) and he flashed the new head unit to work in my car. He’s also done other coding stuff for me too.

As for a replacement NBTevo 6 hardware, check out Straight Six Auto Parts store on eBay. They sell complete NBTevo sets taken out of dismantled BMWs. High quality used OEM parts and excellent customer service. I bought my NBTevo 6 hardware from them. Highly recommend. https://www.ebay.com/str/straightsix...mis&media=COPY

I did my NBT to NBT Evo upgrade through a seller on eBay. They sold me the headunit, touchscreen, controller and wifi antenna. The headunit came precoded to my car and it was literally plug and play.

I have used Kubax86 for other coding before and will say he definitely knows his stuff too.

Both are good options.
