What do u guys think? Personally i dont really like my garage, its too dark and plain, problably will renovate it if i have the sufficient fund.

Little input, although the swisstrax, racedeck, and others are easy and cool looking, easy to install, the epoxy finish if done right, is far above comparison to feel on your feet when walking on, cleaning, washing cars on. I took serious comparison and got samples of all, and at the end of the day, the feel of epoxy to walk on is awesome, no creaking, nothing falls between cracks either. Went black, critical color for sure don't suggest for most applications, but nice when clean.

This is very true. Since I have both I end up walking on both in direct comparison when a car is out of the garage. Even in your bare feet, the epoxy even feels warmer than concrete. That plus the weather seal I put under the door has made it a very clean area that's more part of the house.

we're renovating/addition, and a carport is in the plans. my HOA is pretty restrictive and won't approve garages.

I'll be posting my garage completed soon, big must have........ you'll be thanking me for this, CHAMBERLIN My Q. Garage door opener. Quietest garage door opening system available, comes with plugin for your wifi home router. The Chamberlain unit then sends a signal to your router that then in turn sends you a text message immediately telling you the day and time exactly that your garage is opening and closing. then in the event that you are away from home and not sure if the garage is shut you can either open it or shut it from your cell phone. also if you are curious when somebody comes or goes including yourself, as far as time, you now have a date stamp text message telling you so. Comes in real handy believe me. it's only about $30 more than a regular garage door system from Chamberlain. Chamberlain will also give you a free range extender that will allow for certain cars like bmw to work better for our home link in our cars. Also when you open the app it will show a picture of a garage if your garage is shut that garage is shut and vice versa, then if you are opening or shutting it you can see it open or shut right on the screen in an animated form.

Also the opener itself can be set for a certain amount of time to shut in the event that you have left it open in error at night or when you went away I set mine for 2 hours.
