M3 Pure now from $119k
So tempting to trade in my 6 month old M2 at that price. I really love the look of the LCI 2. But I only want 6 speed and I fear that may not be an option with production ending so soon.
Aside from all that. I find it pretty rude of them to drop the price so much in one hit. Gonna kill resale for a lot of people. |

I think at the end of the day comes down to how much you save over a cp ( needs to be significant to make sense ) Or you love the cloth seats which is also fair enough

Problem is you can pickup a low mileage comp pack now for 125 K - which means a new pure makes little sense. |

You guys make a good point. But what makes you think Pure can’t be had cheaper too? If CP is say $130k (I have no idea, just speculating), then maybe Pure can be had $15-18k less? To me it’s worthwhile and there is something special about the Pure models because I have felt from the start that the F80 is too much of a luxury car these days (ok ok maybe marketing is getting to me)

It's the interior luxury bits that make it special day to day imo. Maybe the pure can be had cheaper - but there are some very good comp pack deals at the moment. |

Also the Pure does not have the LCI 2 face lift. The lights alone in the LCI 2 are worth at least $7k if you want to get them installed.
Also does that price for the pure include the CPT wheels? Personally I think the seats in the Pure are nice. Otherwise not big difference. Question is, if the Pure is $120k drive away, is the $16k premium worth it for the CPT? |

Opinion from a Pure owner.. My 2 cents:
I ended up getting the M3 Pure a month or so back (got a deal I couldn't ignore). Admittedly, I wasn't in the market for a new car and had no intention of spending that much on a car at this time (just bought a new house). Used to have a c63 AMG for reference.
I love the car. Initially, I was really concerned that the lack of all leather seats (in particular) and trims was going to bother me. I actually really like the "cloth" seats, as has everyone that has been for a ride. I actually prefer the style of the 19" wheels over the 20" ones on the Comp pack so that was a non-issue. The engine is the same upgraded one as the Comp Pack. I don't miss adaptive headlights. I drove the Comp Pack a few weeks before I purchased the Pure and when comparing, the only thing I *really* disliked was the standard stereo system. Which is easily (and planned to be) remedied by the guys at DriveSound (check out some of the $$ rides getting stereo upgrades on their page!). Resale value of the Pure did worry me a bit, but I figure I got a good deal so let it go. But seriously, if you are really worried about resale value then European performance cars probably aren't for you. There aren't many easier ways to piss money against the wall |
