When they refuse hit up a car broker - I've saved thousands in the past.

I paid $139 for a comp pack in late 2016. Exact spec I wanted. Dealer was a dick. Car broker did the deal. Even had it delivered through the dealer for that user experience - nice chance to rub their noses in it.

Haha

Brilliant

Car sales staff can have off days and the truely bad ones don’t hang around too long.

I was offered a 2017 Yas Marina M3 Comp pack DCT brand new drive away for $125k September last year, but decided that paying another $5k to get a 30 Jahre made better sense due to the exclusivity.

I’m over the moon with my 30 Jahre but still look longingly at Yas Marina Blue M3’s to this day.

Hmm not sure i agree with this - i think its definately possible given the right place at the right time - I paid $122k D/A this April for my Dec 17 build (Feb 18 complied) comp pack.

Did you have a trade in the mix when you got this price? I’ve been told without one (which I don’t have) never getting near the 120s for a CP. Maybe as others have said back then it was easier than now with supply coming to an end soon...

Nah, sold my 335i privately first. Just curious, what are they telling you they are going to achieve with a trade in that they cant as a straight purchase?

There were definately decent incentives from BMW AU to dealers for left over 2017 stock which helped get the pricing to that point...

Ha good question, no idea why they think a trade would help, apart from to help them play games. The car I was looking at was a 2018, probably the main issue I assume, different for 2017 and before the EoFY I guess. Thanks for the reply.

Trading a car allows them to make money on the traded car, and on the car they're selling you. That's probably why they said it would help.

Push them hard, but you have to be willing to negotiate. They're not going to just give it to you without a fight. But remember, BMW want to sell cars as many M cars as possible as they're losing the fight to AMG.

I think on a 17' you have more chance than on an 18'.

I’m interested to hear what people are paying for new CP M3’s now. I’m resigned to the fact that mine isn’t going to be found and will soon be beginning the search for a replacement.
I’m flexible in terms of colour, trans, CF or sunroof but I don’t really want a pure.
If anyone can PM me details it would be greatly appreciated.
Sydney BMW have a Silverstone over black with sunroof and performance exhaust for $160k. Car has 700km on the clock.
Also a YMB manual brand new for around $155k

May I suggest a cracking option. A forum member from Canberra is selling his near new 30 Jahre with Ceramic brakes on carsales. I’d be confident that he’ll give preferential pricing to a fellow Bimmerpost member from the asking $129k.

He was going to think about it over weekend before finalising the deal.

Advantage for Alfa is that Zagame are throwing in 0% interest rate finance.

I went to test drove both cars on Friday with him. Obviously M3 is an M3 is an M3 all day long. But the Giulia was interesting.

Better sounding exhaust. Really deep and a crack of a whip sound on upshifts. Infotainment is Rubbish on Alfa. No HUD. Fit and finish was well short of M3. The ZF Auto whilst nice ain’t no DCT. 19” alloys only.

Part of me wants him to buy the better product being M3. But part of me would be happy for him to buy the Alfa so we can have a variety of models and brands on our drives to Alpine roads, or reefton etc.
hi
can you tell me where the 110k quote was from
thanks

It was from a Melbourne based dealership with the M3 pure but it was quite a few months ago.

Guys, been offered a new M3 Pure with Comp Wheels and Individual paint for 132k drive away, is that a reasonable price? seems high to me but appears that there is no chance of getting the old 119k BMW originally offered anymore.

That's too much. Maybe for an M4, but not an M3.
Here's one: https://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/d...ngType=TopSpot

Not new, but you would get that for 110k. Somewhere in the middle of 110k-132k is where you should be.

Yeah thought it seemed expensive, any idea how much Comp wheels & Individual paint would normally add to the price?

Paint is $6k I think. Wheels might be similar. Sounds like they’re giving you the $120k Pure offer price plus the cost of options.

What colour is it out of interest?
