Welcome to the brave new world of all this tech in cars. Really nice when the cars are new, but quickly obsolete.

Works great for those who change cars frequently, but ten years down the line...

Yeah auto manufacturers are keen to that and have been replacing tech more often then anything else. Keeps people buying new more frequently.

Bmw NA doesn't even offer just the RTTI package anymore. You have to purchase it in a bundle with Alexa and other services which is over $120.00 with tax.

Yeah I saw that BS. $120 annually so $10 a month but it was $50 for just traffic before. Just a money grab by BMW.

I passed and am just going to use google maps/Waze with CarPlay for traffic. Shit doesn’t always work and I have to sometimes open the app on my phone to get it to display/render but other than it will do.

Exactly it's just a damn money grab! I just a made a complaint to customer service but we all know nothing will get done about it. It was just a nice feature to have for my work commute. I'm doing the same thing now using the Waze app.
