I think BMW is sabotaging themselves on purpose lol.
There is no other explanation for a company that had one of the best design languages of any automaker to now producing this atrocious crap. |

I honestly would take a G80 over that based on looks. That's how much I'm not a fan of those things looks wise. They remind me of German WW2 Kubelwagen for some reason.

The original IG post I got this from said it was an X6 E71 mule, but this 2005 forum post, earliest I could find, calls it "BMW V5" aka "Space Functional Space" aka "Progressive Activity Sedan" which then went onto to become the 5 Series Gran Turismo. Granted, it did not get any better looking. And it drove really weird. Had one for a day.

Going back to VW and the Corrado (from a few pages back), Hagerty put out yet another excellent video about its interesting history.

Not seen this mentioned here, the Eiffel area surrounding the 'Ring has been hit by the big floods (and other areas of Germany, Belgium as well).
This was the paddock there. Nordschleife is opening up again this weekend. BMW and Porsche have each spent over a million Euro, with other manufacturers providing help as well. Koenigsegg is selling Jesko posters to raise money. Ford has donated to volunteers dozens of Transit vans that were otherwise destined to be auctioned off. And Audi's PR person wasn't very thrilled their RS 6 press car was being used to help carry people to the damaged sites as it was lent just for some Nordschleife laps and other boring journo shit. They sure could've spun it in a different way and got great promo out of all of this...

The Mercedes G-Wagen is unique in car culture because it's a vehicle that started out so purposeful, functional and no-nonsense that it became cool.
Now it's such a pointless and frivolous vehicle that it's cool. |

A little update on my car. It is now in the body shop, which means my GT4 officially has a VIN, which I have on hand. Bad news is, it seems like all the delays are in the shipping time frame, which seems to be all over the place. It also looks like they may not finish the car before their August break.
Also, I kind of understand Audi's PR but when it comes to most companies (not sure exactly about Audi), the PR team tends to work apart from the management. So, if the PR team is the one that is sending those "threatening" emails, the management don't tend to know until later. Not that it is an excuse.

If we are around the same time frame then, Porsche is going on its August break before finishing the car in September. Which... kind of worries me? Or I am thinking too much

It could be the same ship still though. Just different areas the cars are being delivered to.

Remember the production process goes like follows -body shop (panels are taken and assembled to the shell and stamped and welded) -paint shop (where the cars, doors, and panels are painted) -assembly shop (where the electronic harnesses, interior, options, and marriage happens)
